Viking Mines has completed an updated JORC (2012) Mineral Resource Estimate (MRE) report for the Canegrass Battery Minerals Project in Western Australia. The MRE has proven highly successful, with a 103% increase in the contained V2O5 to 2.2 Billion Pounds within the total MRE (>0.5% V2O5) of 146Mt at 0.70% V2O5, 31.8% Fe & 6.6% TiO2. Significantly, a high-grade subset of the MRE contains 27.5Mt at 0.87% V2O5, providing the basis to move forward and commence with a Scoping Study on the Project. Where is the next big #copper #discovery going to come from? How big is big? Does the deposit style matter in terms of control or limitation on size? The largest known #magmatic copper #sulphide deposit is #Norilsk - #Talnakh, in Siberia which is estimated to host approximately 20Mt of contianed copper. The #platreef #stratiform magmatic sulphide deposit (#ivanhoe mines) in the #bushveld region of South Africa contains around 2.7Mt of contained copper however also hosts over 30 million ounces of #PGE and #gold, along with approximately 4.6Mt of contained #nickel. The stratiform copper deposits of the Central African #Copperbelt are said to contain a combined 200 million tonnes of contianed copper metal, with one of the largest resources considered to be #kamoa-#Kakula, which boasts aroubd 43Mt of contained copper. The #Escondida #porphyry Cu deposit in Chile contains around 30Mt of contained copper. Then we have the giant Olympic dam #IOCG deposit in South Austrlaia, which contains around 80Mt of contained copper. Finally, the Neves-Corvo #Volcanic #massive sulphide deposit in Portugal is one of the largest #VMS copper resources hosting approximately 14.6Mt of contained copper. All of these deposits are #polymetallic, hosting large amounts of high-value accessory metals such as gold, platinum group elements and nickel.

Tender for metallic ore deposit to be held by year-end — minister A high voltage power line will be built to supply power to the deposit, Anton Alikhanov said September 2/ A new tender to tap the Ak-Sug metallic ore deposit in Tuva will be held by the end of this year, Minister of Industry and Trade Anton Alikhanov said at the meeting with President Vladimir Putin on socioeconomic development of the region. "The previous Ak-Sug license holder [Intergeo company - TASS] did not demonstrate activity in its development. A tender for license transfer to a more responsible user will be held in this regard by the end of this year. We expect this will expedite work on construction of a mining and concentration plant with annual processing up to 24 million metric tons of ore to produce 500,000 metric tons of copper concentrate, molybdenum, and many other associated components," Alikhanov said. A high voltage power line will be built to supply power to the deposit, the minister said. We are now confident that the system is growing to the SE, where no drilling to date has occurred, and where we are seeing both high grades and widths of mineralization expanding. The intersection of high grade copper mineralization in sulphides in the southern part of the El Pilar prospect confirmed by the pXRF readings gives us great encouragement for the potential of this prospect. Given the drillhole terminated in chalcopyrite in a fault zone, the porphyry remains open at depth, and future drilling will be aimed at targeting the core of the porphyry body”.
