Cross-innovation in #culture & #creativeindustries.   Organizations need to look beyond their own sectors if they want to be truly innovative.   To promote dialogue and cross-sector collaboration between industry stakeholders and to pull in the latest research, the goal is to bring key decision-makers from sciences, culture and business together for dialogue, provide a professional, thought-provoking environment, and develop new cross-industry approaches.   🎯 How to cross-innovate in the cultural and creative industries?   SINAPSIS, from the Canary Islands, connects live arts with diverse sectors. I am thrilled to join my colleagues in supporting 16 cultural projects driving growth through cross-#innovation, blending challenges with solutions for new, innovative proposals. Throughout this magnificent collaboration with the Gobierno de Canarias, ICDC | Instituto Canario de Desarrollo Cultural: Cristóbal de la Rosa Croissier, Susana Pallarés, Silvia BARONA SANTIAGO, Carla Martín Franchy; in collaboration with the Universitat de Barcelona: Tino Carreño Morales, Lluís Bonet, Giada Calvano, Montserrat Pareja-Eastaway, @me; and Fondazione Fitzcarraldo: Martina Beria, alessandra gariboldi, we want to contribute our vision so that these wonderful islands position themselves as a reference node in the network of creative ecosystems in #Spain. The team is complemented by outstanding mentors: Albert de Gregorio, Cristina Rodríguez Contrera, Pol Gil Marimon, Giulia Poltronieri, Ramon Castells Ros. Cross-innovation occurs when skills from cultural and creative industries are applied across different sectors to drive development. The #creativity harbors valuable methods capable of providing fresh perspectives & innovative approaches, thereby generating ideas that prove instrumental in addressing the challenges of the #future.   💡 Why do we work cross-sectorally in SINAPSIS?   🔹We want to help our projects work cross-sectorally. We want to create the conditions for #entrepreneurs to continue developing business ideas that orbit the intersections of different sectors.   🔹We want to give artists access to new markets. Cross-sectoral collaboration is nothing new, but clashes often arise when different work cultures come together. We want to be at the forefront developing working conditions for #artists.   🔹We want to make a difference in society. When artists gain access to other sectors, they can add perspectives that make companies #change, products improve and society develop. ✨🍾 We say Thank You for an amazing 2023! 🥂✨ This year was an exciting journey for #femella. We started into 2023 with a team of 5 Board Members and 40+ femellas. In March, we welcomed 4 new Board Members, and with the additional woman power, developed our sponsoring and communications strategy. 🚀 In the following months, we released our new website, refined our branding, published 11 newsletters, 231 Social Media posts, and expanded our LinkedIn presence from 34 to 1000+ followers. 1K - this is not just a number for us, but an affirmation that what we do resonates with a diverse audience of varying ages and backgrounds. 👫 🌱🌳 We are thrilled that our work and mission are met with such enthusiasm, and that this is vividly reflected in the growth of our community. Throughout 2023, our member base increased by 300% to 160+ motivated and ambitious young women from different fields and Universities. More members also meant more work, leading us to enlargen our team by 19 committee members and a new Head of Community & Collaborations. 🤝 The enthusiasm about our community was also sensed by our sponsorship team. We built strong partnerships with McKinsey & Company, UBS, Promotion-Tools AG, and #Honold - and are excited to announce more sponsors soon! 🌟 In alignment with our three pillars, we are steadily learning, expanding our network, and growing. This year, we co-hosted 13 Learn events with companies such as AbbVie, Google, and IWC Schaffhausen. We organised 10 Connect events, spanning from our annual Kick-off to a visit at the Swiss House of Parliament and a Winter Après Ski Party. Moreover, we hosted our first public Grow event around the topic of “Women Over Time”, welcoming 150+ attendees. 🌍 🛫 In the last months, we have been working on our internationalization strategy. We recruited and onboarded a brand new Zurich Board that is excited to now start its work. In the meantime, our expansion to Copenhagen, London, and Munich is in full swing. 🙏 A lot has happened in 2023, so much that we struggled sticking to our agreed meeting durations. However, amidst the chaos, we learnt to organise our time and improve our internal communication. Navigating the learning opportunities of the year was possible because of the collaborative spirit within our team - and because we constantly went the #extramile. But also because we could count on the help of our amazing committee members, advisory board, sponsors and supporters. Thank you for being part of our community! 👵 Although we are now “retiring” from the Zurich Board, our work is far from done. We will keep shaping femella’s strategy and support our four hubs as the new femella Global team. We wish you a Happy New Year and can’t wait for what 2024 holds for femella. Trade shows are the ideal setting for discussing important topics for business and society. Including the topic of inclusion, which our President & CEO Wolfram Diener addresses in the first episode of our new video series "Facing Tomorrow" entitled "Inclusive Innovations".   Companies are becoming increasingly aware of their social responsibility and are offering ways to participate through their products and services. Progress in this area can also be seen at our trade fairs such as REHACARE – International Trade Fair for Rehabilitation and Care and boot Düsseldorf. Here you can see first-hand how new technologies and services can make people's everyday lives easier and more inclusive.   Kieler Woche will be just as inclusive in the coming days. 🌟 Reflecting on an Inspiring Day at the GOTO Business Conference in Sønderborg! 🌟 I had the privilege of attending the GOTO Business conference, with 270 professionals from 130 different businesses in Sønderborg. 🚀 GOTO Sønderborg has set the ambitious goal reaching 77,000 citizens in Sønderborg Municipality by 2030. It’s a significant achievement, but the commitment from the municipality, business community, and education sector was tangible. When we work together, incredible things happen! 🎙️ Captivating Speakers: The lineup of speakers was top-notch. Kim Fausing, CEO of Danfoss, shared invaluable perspectives on innovation and sustainable growth. Brian Mikkelsen, CEO of Dansk Erhverv, challenged us to think bigger and bolder.
