Stuck at 6/7-Fig ARR? Building Audience and Sales Pipeline with AUTHORITY is the only way to Faster 8-Fig Growth | Fractional CMO

What are my key observation points when I'm hiring salespeople? 1. Their ability to solve problems. Tells a lot about their attitude and approach. 2. Their hunger to be in sales and dealing with the daily grind. (I usually put random or situational questions naturally shooting out during the conversation). 3. The way they communicate. 4. Are they asking any questions? What kind of questions. 5. Storytelling. I like listening to stories. I ask them to take me into their work/ life situations. 6. Skill assessment (documented process) for sales writing (DM's, Emails follow-ups, Cold emailing), probing, research. They score higher if they understand my target customer a bit already, and have an understanding of the product space. B2B Sales is about - a. Understanding target account's business (research skills). b. Communicating (writing, following-up, cold outreach). c. Probing d. Listening e. Staying energetic and disciplined (very underrated) If you include these in your hiring process, the chances of irrelevant recruit will lower. When I used to get interviewed, people asked me to sell the pen, or what quota I achieved previously, or ask for my previous customer's info, etc etc. Less than 10% of the time was spent in understanding my abilities to actually sell for them. I don't know if that was the right approach, but if the candidate's skills and attitude are assessed well, if they can understand your product and sales process, then you have hired fundamentally relevant candidate. I'd say the willingness to deal with the daily grind is 99% of it. the rest "falls into place" if you learn from your mistakes
