When you're job searching, or if you're self employed and light on future assignments, the weekend doesn't have quite the same flavour as it does when you're working full time. In the background, you might be thinking about the week ahead and wondering what's the best way to use your time. You can often put that background worry to rest by planning for the week ahead. One possible effective time use is to attend hiring and job fairs, like this one on Tuesday, March 12 at the Pan Pacific Hotel. ISSofBC's Gateway to Tourism & Hospitality program is hosting the event, which will include a wide range of employers with varied job opportunities: a brilliant opportunity to network with hiring staff. I know we all need rest and a break from thinking about work. Tell that to my brain. Sometimes, the way to relax is to resolve and plan ahead for the weekdays, and having planned, banish the worry til Monday. Once the plan is in place, my weekend is liberated from background stress. If you are the same, consider attending this upcoming event as a very workable plan for the week ahead. Register for the morning guest talks, including Parq Vancouver's Serena Basi, at: https://lnkd.in/gxBCFBSY. For the afternoon job fair, register here: https://lnkd.in/g94VYY_e
