If you want to give a gift that’s Easter-bunny themed but won’t put animals at risk of harm, consider: Donating to a small animal charity! There are many groups working to protect and re-home small domestic animals like rabbits. A donation to one in someone’s honour can be a beautiful gift that keeps giving. Volunteering! Between humane societies, wildlife rehabilitators, and small-animal rescues, there’s no shortage of places needing help. Give some of your time with a loved one to help animals directly this way. Chocolates or candies! A gift of rabbit-shaped or themed (and plant-based) chocolate or candy is another fun way to enjoy the season and provide joy without putting animals at risk. If you are STILL interested in adding a rabbit to your family, please look up a local rescue who can ensure you have the best possible information to give your new family member a great and long-lasting life!

It’s National Mutt Day. Shower your furry friend with some extra love today. Here are some ideas: Spoil your pup: Give your dog an extra long walk, break out their favorite toy, or whip up a special doggy treat. Donate to your local shelter: Many shelters rely on donations to care for homeless pets. A donation in your mutt's name is a great way to honor mixed breed dogs. Volunteer at a shelter: If you have some free time, consider volunteering at your local animal shelter. You'll get to spend time with some amazing dogs and help them find their forever homes. Spread the mutt love online: Share a photo of your adorable mutt on social media using #NationalMuttDay and spread awareness about the wonders of mixed breed dogs. #DogsAreFamily #DogLover #DogsAreTheBest #CanineLover

Rescue Innocent Families! Your donation to In Defense of Animals today can help us prevent the cruel and unnecessary slaughter of geese and other waterfowl. These animals are often killed through painful gassing methods, simply because of their presence in places that humans perceive as primarily theirs and an unwillingness to share space. This horrific process, especially torturous for aquatic birds, can take up to 45 minutes, causing prolonged suffering. Your support enables us to advocate for humane, non-lethal alternatives and protect these innocent animals from such needless brutality. https://lnkd.in/eU6B7z5K
