"Act like you've been there before." 🏈 This phrase always reminds me of Barry Sanders - score a touchdown, hand the ball to the ref. No fuss, just doing the job you're paid to do. In the world of sales, this mentality is crucial. Whether facing defeat or success, maintain your composure. Here's why it matters: 1. Consistency builds trust. Your clients need a steady hand guiding them through their decision-making process. 2. Emotional stability helps you make better decisions. In a field full of ups and downs, clear thinking is invaluable. 3. Long-term success comes from "straightening the curves and flattening the hills." Don't get too high on the wins or too low on the losses. 📈 Remember, sustainable growth in sales isn't about flashy celebrations or dramatic lows. It's about showing up, doing the work, and being a reliable partner for your clients - day in and day out. Let's be real - all salespeople struggle with this. Even after years in sales, I can still find myself riding the emotional rollercoaster. It's a constant practice, not a destination. #Sales #SalesStrategy #OVDCannabis #OVDInsurance

Greatness isn’t about never fumbling; it’s about picking the ball back up and turning a mistake into a win. Sales is a lot like football—you’re playing hard, everything’s going according to plan, and then, boom, the ball slips through your fingers. In that split second, it feels like it’s all over. But here’s the thing. We all drop the ball in sales sometimes—unanswered emails, missed opportunities, rejections…. But what matters is how we respond. Just like in football, it’s not about the fumble, it’s about the recovery. The real pros know how to bounce back, adapt, and score when it counts. Keep running, no matter how many times you drop the ball. #ResilienceInSales #SalesMindset #BounceBack

The difference between an average performer and a top closer often comes down to one simple factor: effort. As legendary football coach Jimmy Johnson once said, "The only difference between ordinary and extraordinary is that little extra." Let's explore how this principle can transform your approach to in-home sales and boost your closing rates: https://lnkd.in/ghvEiwDZ #InHomeSales #SalesTips #SalesSuccess #AlwaysBeClosing #SalesSuccess #ClosingTechniques #TheClosersMindset #InhomeSalesPros #SalesProfessionals #Homeimprovement #sales

Post 49 - Just described a spam blocker deny my sales email as the spam blocker "Dikembe Mutombo-ing" it to a prospect (the reference: https://lnkd.in/eGKBb58m) Clever, or stupid? Does it matter? In any role that requires sales, you're going to get a lot of no's. Not cause you suck, but because in order for it to be a yes, you need to have the right product at the right time and reach out to the right person. You can do a certain amount of prep work, but information isn't perfect, so you do have to guess a bit. My advice? Make it fun for yourself when things don't go according to plan.

My brother sent me this video clip last night and I thought it was a great reminder for sales. Johnny decides it’s too hard. Jack decides to take a crack at the 102 foot putt…. You make 0% of the shots you don’t take. Make the call. Take the meeting. Ask for the business. #sales #salesdevelopment #winningmindset #forgeyourpath https://lnkd.in/ew4Bwt3S

Simple doesn’t always mean easy. Take making sales calls—it sounds simple, but when you add in constant rejection and the challenge of hitting 75-150+ calls daily, it’s a lot tougher. The same is true in sports, relationships, and nearly every area of life. Nothing worth having comes easy. Success often comes down to the ability to consistently show up; that’s where the line is drawn between good and great. Another football related post from me again! 👀 Taking a penalty kick and making a sales call might seem worlds apart, but the pressure feels just as intense! 🥅📞 Just like a footballer steps up to the spot, we face our own moments of truth with each sales call. The key? Confidence, preparation, and a positive mindset. ⚽️💪 Practice Makes Perfect: Rehearse your pitch like a player practices their shot. Stay Calm: Breathe deeply and stay focused. Visualize success! Learn from Misses: Not every call will be a win. Analyze and improve, just like a player reviews their game. With the right approach, we can conquer those pressure moments and score big! 🌟 #SalesCalls #PressureToPerform #StayCalmAndSell #ConfidenceInAction #Plumm #maketheswitch

STRUGGLING WITH SALES RESULTS? It's time to change your focus! Ever heard of Dr. Bob Rotella, the top sports psychologist behind many PGA Tour pros? His mantra: "Get out of the results and focus on the process." This same philosophy **Sales is like golf.** → Can't control the results? → Focus on what you CAN control: your process! Reflect on your process. How can it be improved? Successful sales are built by refining these steps, not just aiming for the scoreboard. What process changes have helped you achieve better sales? #SalesTips #ProcessOverResults #MindsetMattersPlease

Simple Sales Tip: Rarely do Hail Marys work in sports. And rarely do they work in sales. It’s all in the preparation and game planning. Consistent results and wins begin when you… Take time, to put in the time, to plan. #sales #planning #strategy #successfulmindset
