Stress reduction, restraint and seclusion I am delighted to partner the Alliance agaisnt Seclusion and Restraint for this web conference. It is an opportunity to understand in an empathic manner the approach to stress management and stress reduction. I will be be speaking about how we can reduce and eliminate restraint by creating arousal regulation and co regulation which is the cornerstone of the low arousal approach.Critical to this is the double empathy approach where we change our behaviour in the first instance. All of the key contributors will focus on reducing unpredictability and chaos for the people we support. #mentalhealth #restraint #seclusion #lowarousal #wellbeing #trauma #schools #autism #adhd

Anyone in NYC interested in supporting much needed and very very urgent surveillance oversight, this event might be for you! As living proof of the destitution potential of unchecked surveillance crime, this event holds meaning for me in particular. Imagine every single home, business, urban, and satellite camera on one network… every software-powered electrical device - from your car consoles to your home printers to the MTA ticket machines, on one network, malintended individuals in your algorithms, and on and on. We spend much of our modern lives digitally connected, and as such, we rely on our devices to serve their consumer and business intent. On the flip side, with everything connected and no governance of any worth in sight, it just takes the flick of a button to start raining ☠️ TERROR ☠️. And, these people have gotten very creative. I can’t yet say that I’m a survivor, I’m still a victim. >> Surveillance, cyber, government enabled crime.
Mass surveillance is no laughing matter, but that won’t stop us from making fun of it at S.T.O.P.’s first comedy fundraiser! I hope you can join me on June 9th to have a great time while supporting an urgent cause. https://lnkd.in/e5_8SMcm

Fatherhood engagement is much more than outreach or marketing. Father-inclusive practice recognizes the crucial role fathers play in their children's lives, and proactively engages and supports them in the parenting process. 💖 One way to raise compassionate, empathetic, and socially responsible children is to encourage and support their passion for change, no matter how young they are. Children are naturally curious, kind, and creative, and when you empower them to turn their ideas into action, you give them the tools to become changemakers in their own right. Whether it's through volunteering, fundraising, advocacy, or simply being kind to others, you can make service and kindness a cornerstone of your family's values and build a better world together. Here are actions you can take to get started: https://lnkd.in/ggt_vmZz

As grassroots nonprofit leaders, your tireless efforts to protect communities act as a beacon of hope 💡 . Recently, Colorado’s Governor recognized this, granting $1M to nonprofits helping to secure places of worship against violence. Enhancing security measures, installing cameras 📸, setting alarms 🚨, providing emergency response training...your work isn’t unnoticed or unappreciated. We understand that while bolstering the physical safety of communities, you might wonder how best to market your venture to ensure its sustainability and expand its reach. Never underestimate the power of story📚, your story. It’s the most potent tool in connecting with donors, volunteers, and communities. It’s your “why” that stirs hearts, motivates action, and fosters changes💪. Stay inspired and remember that what you do matters. The world needs your light, resilience, and hope. Together, let’s continue to #GiveHopeDaily Share your thoughts 🖊️ and tag a nonprofit leader who needs this encouragement today! #nonprofit#communityresilience#businessgrit#marketingmatters#nonprofitsolutions
