From June 20 to 27, 2024, a PMC international team composed of two from the USA, namely Amy Henderson Ailey (Director of Global Impact Unit at PMC HQ), Mary El-Afandi (Research Associate at PMC HQ), and Sani (a MEL officer from Niger), visited the PMC E country office to support ongoing project activities. During their stay, they provided training on data quality and a survey CTO to enumerators that will be engaged for the WASH endline evaluation. In addition, they provided support for developing the theory of change (TOC) for the DKT new project on SRH, FP, and GBV. In addition, during the week, Amy was able to deliver a presentation on a webinar to the SBC Alliance on storytelling and another day of practical learning sessions for those interested in SBC.
As a side business, the trip was useful in meeting different partners and stakeholders to discuss ongoing activities and future collaboration. Thus, the team was able to meet different people in different offices, particularly Ms. Tsion, Mr. Kinfe and Meron (SC NORAD), Mr. Dawar, the CD (DKT), Ms. Rachana Sharma (UNICEF SBC Manager), ,and the VSO management team led by Mr. Temesgen Tilahun. With this intensive field trip, PMC E has gained a lot in terms of sharing experiences and strengthening networks with its partner organizations.
