We’re proud to be founded on inclusivity, and we’re expanding our definition with the Made Accessible Initiative. Because of her personal experience, Selena has always been drawn to packaging that’s easy to open and close, hold, and apply. When we started hearing your feedback about how accessible *you* find our products, we wanted to know more. We partnered with the Casa Colina Research Institute (CCRI), part of Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare, to identify features that make our products easy to open and close, hold, or apply for individuals with dexterity issues. Since then, seven products have aligned with our Made Accessible Initiative. And this is only the beginning! We’re so grateful to our community for pushing this conversation and inspiring this program. This is makeup made to feel good in—and to feel good using. About Casa Colina: Casa Colina Hospital and Centers for Healthcare is a nonprofit provider of specialized medical and rehabilitative care for people with disabling conditions resulting from accidents, disease, or illness. CCRI brings together doctors, scientists, and other rehabilitation professionals who conduct basic, translational, and clinical research, striving to transform scientific advances into improved patient care and outcomes. such an overlooked issue, similar with elderly who struggle with dexterity. I broke my finger years ago and it didn't set correctly, it doesn't effect me that much, but I can't bring the ends of the fingers together in a pinch so putting the back of an earring on in that hand is simply impossible - it must be so frustrating when you have an issue that effects more than this and make everyday things difficult to navigate.

Now, this encapsulates the true essence of being equitable and inclusive. Sometimes, we are so oblivious to how these small things, like opening a bottle of concealer with ease, can be a challenge for some. Of course, maybe that's unintentional, and people who do suffer don't want to voice it openly that they have this issue. But reflecting on all these underlying issues shows that brands like Rare Beauty do care, and they are committed to being a true DEI brand. We are all capable and enough ❤️.

Such an inspiring initiative! It's wonderful to see Rare Beauty prioritizing inclusivity and accessibility in their products 🙏

Hello and thank you for making your products, more accessible and easier to open! As a person who also suffers from lupus and arthritis, it is important for me to be able to get into a packaging easily, and able to use it quickly especially when I’m dealing with my clients as a Makeup Artist. I really appreciate this. You know how hard it is to use certain things, and I do too. I am older than you, so it is even harder, so I really appreciate from the bottom of my heart that you have taken this into account to help people with similar problems like you have arthritis, lupus, and other diseases that make it hard and difficult to maneuver things and use things easily. I thank you, you are actually a hero for helping people with these problems. So many people do not understand what it is on a daily basis not to be able to open a bottle or get into a product because they’re just too hard to open and even close them. Thank you, I wish you the best of luck with this and I’m excited to see your new packaging and I love your products, your Cosmetic line is fabulous, amazing colors, textures everything is so radiant and beautiful!! Thank you so much, Cynthia Frank, Professional Makeup Artist and Licensed Esthetician.

Selena and team, you're not just painting faces—you're painting smiles! The Made Accessible Initiative is like the superhero cape of the beauty world, ensuring that everyone, regardless of dexterity challenges, can feel fabulous. Partnering with Casa Colina Research Institute is like enlisting the Avengers of accessibility to make sure no makeup lover feels left out. Here's to opening doors—and makeup compacts—with style and inclusivity! 💄💪😄

What a beautiful mission Rate has! I was wondering if you offer any internship opportunities for college students or even have an internship mentoring program established? I know some young women who would greatly benefit from an experience working for a company that actually cares about the people using their products.I look forward to hearing from you.
