We received a message this morning from our partners at The 98 Fund (The Alaska Project) that justified all of our work and efforts over the past few years. In 2022, drawing from the skills of our team's collective background, Remedy Alpine had the opportunity to provide first aid training to participants with The 98 Fund's Alaska Project. Nobody could have imagined that these skills would be deployed two years later and result in the successful life saving intervention for a random stranger in need - having the right people, with the right skills, at the right time! Remedy Alpine would like to thank the members and participants of The 98 Fund (The Alaska Project) for our continued partnership in doing the most good for the communities that we serve. #remedyalpine #The98Fund #TheAlaskaProject #VeteransHelpingVeterans

🔥🔥95% of firefighters are not professionals?! Today was a fun city festival! My daughters had the chance to pose on a fire truck and were totally excited🤩 I learned today from a Firefighter that that 👉Firefighting operations due to actual Fires are 12 times less likely than Emergency rescues 👀 👉95% of firefighters in Germany are volunteers‼️, that’s why youth engagement of the fire department is so crucial Some numbers (I love statistics 🤓): Causes of fires: - Electricity (28%) ⚡ Deployment statistics 2022: - Emergency medical services: 2,436,919 🚑 - Technical assistance: 659,662 🔧 - Patient transport: 526,482 🚑 - False alarms: 350,613 🔕 - Fires and explosions: 197,834 🔥 - Animals/insects: 39,788 🦁🐝 - Disaster alarms: 174 ☢️ Btw: it takes only 8 weeks of training that can be done in the evening and on Saturdays until you are allowed to join rolling out on a mission in the fire truck. And your employer has to enable your service by law and you get a compensation. Would you do it? #Firefighters #Volunteers #Heroes #Youth #thankyouforyourservice #feuerwehr

Executive Director at The Guatemalan Tomorrow Fund. NGO Founder and Technical Adviser @TheGivingGenie. Doctoral Candidate in Executive Leadership Studies.
In conflict and disaster zones, access to basic first aid training is often limited, denying communities the crucial knowledge needed to save lives. The Genie Corps Emergency Response Program (GCERP) seeks to change this narrative by equipping young individuals with essential skills to respond effectively to emergencies. Through comprehensive training in disaster preparedness, medical operations, and more, participants gain confidence to handle real-life crises. Emphasizing community engagement and leadership, GCERP empowers youth to promote resilience and safeguard lives, fostering safer and more prepared communities.#EmergencyResponse #DisasterPreparedness #communityresilience #africanyouth #mozambique

On 31 May 2023, a warm sunny spell hit Britain, driving many people to the coast to enjoy a day at the beach. Tragically, a rip current hit Bournemouth on the same day and two of these beach-goers didn't make it home to their families. Their names were Joe and Sunnah. They were just 17 and 12 years old. This is their story, told by their loving mums, Ness and Steph... These remarkable women have channelled their grief into a mission to prevent future tragedies, joining forces with RLSS UK to campaign for better water safety education. The impact of drowning is devastating. Please continue sharing our water safety advice this week to help save lives. #DrowningPreventionWeek #DPW #WaterSafety

DON'T BE FOOLED BY SLICK PROMOTIONAL POSTS THAT MAKE IT SEEM LIKE YOUR LOCAL, STATE OR FEDERAL GOVERNMENT ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS ARE SOLVING THE AFFORDABLE HOUSING CRISIS. WHEN IT COMES TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING, THE PUBLIC AND TAXPAYERS MUST ASK: AT WHAT COST TO THE TAXPAYERS AND HOW LONG IS THE AFFORDABILITY PERIOD? EVERY TAXPAYER SHOULD BE ASKING THEIR ELECTED AND APPOINTED OFFICIALS AT A MINIMUM THE FOLLOWING QUESTIONS: 1. How much local, state, and federal funding, tax credits, density bonus increase, waivers of impact fees, or other government benefit or incentive did the project receive? 2. What is the affordability period for each project and, if the affordability period is not in perpetuity or permanent, WHY NOT? 3. What guarantees exist that tenants in the affordable housing units will not be displaced after the "affordability period expires? IN MOST CASES WHEN IT COMES TO AFFORDABLE HOUSING, the public and taxpayer are being fooled into thinking their elected and appointed officials are solving problems, when in fact, all hey have done is "KICK THE CAN DOWN THE ROAD" to burden a future generation with the same problem or crisis!

Make a plan today. Your family may not be together if a disaster strikes, so it’s important to know how you will respond. Decide how you’ll contact one another and reconnect if separated. Establish a family meeting place that’s familiar and easy to find. Be sure you have Emergency Food and a First Aid Kit at the ready. #hemlockinsurancegroup #hemlockishere #emergencypreparedness #firstaidkit #familyreadiness #livingstoncountymi #livingstoncountyinsurance #brightonsmallbusiness #LivCo #HomeAutoLifeCommercialInsurance
