Grateful for these midwest #cleanenergyjobs. And they are in under-served areas. That's key for #workforcedevelopment and to meeting our environmental goals. Here's what's working in Chicago: • Local training programs are gearing up to equip residents with skills for solar installation, energy efficiency, and electric vehicle maintenance roles. • Community organizations are partnering with clean tech companies to ensure job placement and career advancement for local talent. • Green infrastructure projects are creating construction and maintenance positions while improving neighborhood sustainability. What other ideas do you have for fostering clean energy careers in underserved areas? #greenjobs #greenskills #solar #chicago #climateworks ClimateWorks Foundation 548 FOUNDATION https://lnkd.in/gYS3jwHA

It was an insightful session engaging with Upshall Peter from Newfoundland Power, the largest utility company in the province, discussing the implementation of energy conservation initiatives as a part of TakeChargeNL program. The session covered a spectrum of pertinent topics, including the economic aspects of conservation efforts, the significance of demand management, and an analysis of barriers impacting EV adoption in Newfoundland and Labrador. In addition, I extend sincere appreciation to Dr. Amin Etminan for organizing this enriching session as part of our Energy and Environment course, providing a valuable real-world perspective from a practitioner in the field. #energyefficiency #energyconservation #energyefficienthomes #utilityindustry #demandresponse

Hi! If you’re new to my LinkedIn community, I’d like to take a minute to introduce myself. My name is Sumit and I’m the founder of GreenBrilliance, a made-in-the-USA end-to-end integrated solar EPC. Over the course of growing the company for 16 years, we’ve had the immense pleasure of landing in the top 6 residential solar contractors and were ranked #1 in Virginia, Maryland, D.C, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. Yes, all 5 states. I usually share more about the company history in this introduction, but after some fun cajoling from my team, I decided that today I’ll share “fun” things people don’t typically know about me: ❇️ My favorite meals are when my entire family cooks together — on a random weekday — and we invite our friends over to enjoy the experience. ❇️ If I could go to any event in the world, it would be a horse show. I love learning about new things and being surrounded by good people with good stories and these beautiful animals sounds like my perfect day! ❇️ I have a hard time being alone. Perhaps it’s my Indian culture and always being surrounded by a revolving door of aunties and uncles, or that I’m (surprisingly) an extroverted engineer, but there is nothing that brings me more joy than having people in our home. I love connecting with others — on and off this platform — and I’d enjoy hearing the little-known facts about you, too! After all, these connection points are what bring us together. #PoweringASolarFuture #solarindustry #cleanenergy #solarmovement #sustainability #sustainabilityviasolarpower

🔎 At Laketricity, we're deeply committed to preserving the surroundings in which we develop our projects. Indeed, landscape integration is a very important topic during the project development phase. ✅ Half of you answered that we conduct environmental studies, but actually this is not the only right answer. The other 50% of you answered "other" to indicate that all the answers are in fact correct. Indeed, when we develop a floating solar project, we : 👷♀️ Work with landscape consultants, 🔬 Conduct environmental studies, 📏 Adjust the FPV plant's coverage rate with a respectful design, 🌾 Recommend landscape integration measures. We make sure to deploy a number of means to ensure the project's seamless integration. In future posts, we will detail these means. 👉 Stay tuned for future polls on topics related to sustainable energy and floating solar! #greenenergy #innovation #projectdevelopment #renewableenergy

Leading Community-scale Climate Change Action | I help communities, organizations, and people move beyond climate action commitments to achieve climate action results.
Tuesday’s Community Energy Innovation Summit (https://lnkd.in/e8kwUWzW), hosted by the Clean Energy Business Network (CEBN), amplified the important role of collaboration and partnership in the work to support an equitable clean energy transition. The showcase of the US Department of Energy Community Energy Innovation Prize’s Collegiate Track winners - Georgia Tech Zero Energy Collaborations (Atlanta, GA), Greener CASA (Tyler, TX), GreenSynergy (Houston, TX) - offered creative ways to amplify community energy transition opportunities with community participation and equity at the center of program design and implementation. The federal agency panel moderated by Sandoli Robert of the US Department of Energy’s (DOE’s) Integrated Strategies Office, and featuring the DOE’s Office of Policy, Advanced Materials and Manufacturing Technologies Office, Office of Energy Justice and Equity, and State and Community Energy Programs, and the US Environmental Protection Agency’s Greenhouse Gas Reduction Fund programs offered perspectives and opportunities reflecting the massive federal investment in community and economy-wide climate action and equitable energy transition through the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law. While a wide-ranging discussion, of particular importance to note for our local community climate action and sustainability work: ⚡ Not only are federal investments an investment in climate action and energy transition, but more importantly, they are foundational to producing equitable outcomes in our communities. ⚡ Opportunities enabled through changes to US tax credit policy, including enabling direct pay opportunities for non-profit organizations (including local governments) historically excluded from tax-based clean energy investment incentives is a tremendous opportunity, especially when combined (or stacked) for many clean energy technologies. ⚡ The DOE’s Office of Community Engagement - powered by the State and Community Energy Program - is an amazing “Navigator” resource to take advantage of the breadth of offices and programs the DOE offers. ⚡ The value of forming community and public-private partnerships early, before funding opportunities become available, is critical to effectively pursuing funding opportunities. The value of such partnership and collaboration extends to support small, clean energy technology and service businesses for expanding their ability to leverage their experience, innovation, and drive to amplify the climate action and energy transition work in our communities. #energytransition #communityenergy #climateaction #innovation #cleanenergy #communityengagement
