Ingleton House stands among eight locations pinpointed by Brentwood Borough Council for the creation of a zero-carbon (in-use) housing initiative that promises to be well-integrated, sensitive to its surroundings, secure and fully accessible, with a scenic communal courtyard complementing the dwellings. Preliminary masterplan studies conducted as part of the redevelopment proposal have revealed the feasibility of demolishing the existing structure to make way for a new residential complex, potentially comprising 26 apartments or 15 houses featuring a variety of one, two, and three-bedroom layouts. As strategic partners, Hamson Barron Smith, a division of Norse Consulting, was tasked with refining the preliminary development concepts with a sharp focus on the site’s context and the ambition for zero-carbon in-use living standards. In addition, HBS is delivering a comprehensive array of multidisciplinary #design and #planning #consultancy services.
