One of the biggest stories of 2024 (and really, the "streaming wars" in general) has been the growing footprint of YouTube. This year the birthplace of cat videos and Charlie biting peoples' fingers became the first streaming platform to break 10% share on Nielsen's Gauge. More important, it accomplished that by redefining what it means to say, "I'm watching TV".
