‘What the dickens have you been up to since the last time you posted on here, Rory?’ I hear no one cry…ever. However, one assumes that’s because you’re all too polite to ask. Well, I shall save you the embarrassment of asking on this occasion… Amongst a few other things, I’ve been working on the next round of Kent Countywide SENCO Forums (which are forums for SENCOs working within the county of Kent…I know…clever marketing) which are due to occur on the 31st January (secondary schools) and the 1st February (primary schools). If you’re a SENCO (or Inclusion Lead or Headteacher) in Kent, or know a SENCO (or Inclusion Lead or Headteacher) in Kent then you/they can use the link below to register for one of the sessions. Hosted by The Education People with presenters from Kent County Council and the Kent Health Service we will be discussing subjects such as the Kent Neurodevelopment Pilot, Requests for EHCNAs, an update on the SEND Localities Plan and a number of other important bits and bobs- it’s going to be another packed agenda…but one that (if you’re a SENCO in Kent) you can’t afford to miss. To register, click on this link and search, ‘Countywide SENCO Forum’… https://lnkd.in/eXq8hcn5 If you’re not a SENCO working in Kent but you work in the education sector elsewhere in the country then message me and we can have a chat about what we might be able to do to help in your area! NB- with posts this long, it really is best for you all that I keep quiet for a while…so, until I hear someone utter the immortal line, ‘What the dickens have you been up to since the last time you posted on here, Rory?’ I will wish you, good afternoon, good evening and goodnight. #senco #send #kent #education #theeducationpeople #inclusion #localities #neurodevelopment

Today, more than ever, students across the nation are raising their voices for change, driving initiatives that champion equity and inclusion in their schools and communities. From organizing diversity and inclusion workshops to leading social justice clubs, young activists are at the forefront of building a more equitable future. These student-led movements are not just about raising awareness; they're about taking action. By advocating for curriculum reforms, promoting safe and inclusive spaces, and engaging in community dialogues, students are making significant strides toward dismantling barriers and fostering a culture of acceptance and respect. As we approach the 70th Commemoration of the Brown v. Board of Education decision, we're reminded of the powerful impact that collective action and determination can have on our society. This landmark case laid the groundwork for the civil rights movements that followed, and today's students are continuing the fight for justice and equality. 🌟 Let's celebrate and support these young voices for change as they carry forward the legacy of Brown v. Board. 🌟 Join us in honoring this pivotal moment in history and learn how you can support student-led initiatives making a difference in our communities. 🔗 For more information on the commemoration event and how you can participate, visit https://lnkd.in/gtzj6NVD #VoicesForChange #StudentActivism #EquityAndInclusion #BrownvBoard70 #FutureLeaders #MakeADifference #BrownvBoard70 #LR9Legacy #AABPCommemoration2024 #EducationEquity70 #PhilanderSmithEvent #AABPP #ArBlackPsych #NAACP #BrownVBoard #eventoftheday #joinourevent #APA #theABPsi
