"What am I now?" Terry Crews got cut from an NFL team and ended up humbly sweeping floors and washing Ice Cube's car before he changed his perspective and found his purpose after the game. During this clip Terry speaks out about the depression he faced while transitioning away from the game of football and it's similarities to transitioning from the military. "When you quit football it's almost like the military" According to statistics from the NCAA, only 1.6%(262) of the 16,380 draft eligible college football players will turn pro and have an opportunity to compete for one of only 1,696 jobs. Of those fortunate 1,696, on average their NFL careers will only last 3.3 years. According to statistics from the Army, approximately 30% of officers, and 10% of enlisted soldiers retire from the Army. What do these set of statistics have in common? 📢 Lots of young adults TRANSITIONING‼️ No matter if you play football or serve our country, know that you won't do either of them forever, and that you don't have to be defined by them forever. Because of our level of dedication and how we identify with these lifestyles, transitioning from them can be difficult at times, but still very possible. Be encouraged and know that 🫵🏾You 🫵🏾 can do it! Don't be afraid to turn the page in your life, you might just be a few pages away from the best chapter yet! #transition #transitioning #transitioningmilitary #transitioningservicemembers #transitioningveterans #lifeafterfootball #collegefootball #nflfootball

Demonstrating how a heartwarming ad opportunity is supported by inconvenient human truth - not wrong as it's sticking quite well with BK's brand voice, and there is no provocation/CTA on you must take BK at a supposedly healthy, green, nutritious, diet-balanced, clean...however you could have described healthcare setting. On spot as an eye-level blissful approach. "This is how our adland has become" is definitely an overstatement, but it's prompting my reflection on how "inconvenient products/services" should be communicated while avoiding "infringement on good values" in this new adland. (Oh yes, consumers never go on LinkedIn and they won't watch this case video - my take is completely biased as I can feel how much bliss these moms need after watching this video. Perhaps there can be other touchpoint that tells theses stories to people outside of your adland?)
Arrived at...

😂 Many of my peers may laugh and nod while watching this! Not just performance management, it also applies to conflict management, employee development, employee engagement, workplace culture, diversity and inclusion... We are in a delicate position where we need to support and educate managers without overstepping. It’s a dance between offering guidance and nudging managers to take ownership of their roles as leaders, which goes beyond just managing tasks and extends into nurturing their teams.
And it's about to start again... Here we go.

Human Resource Executive | Talent Strategy | Leadership Development | Organizational Growth | Employee Relations | Performance Management
It is important to recognize that employee performance is not solely determined by HR efforts. Each employee possesses the knowledge and capabilities required to achieve their individual goals, and it is not within HR's role to instruct them in this regard. However, HR can provide guidance and support to employees in their pursuit of these objectives and in acclimating to the organization. While employee performance is crucial to the progress of the company, it is not directly tied to HR responsibilities, as employees are considered capable of managing their duties. While HR can offer assistance and necessary resources, the ultimate responsibility for delivering high performance lies with the employees, not HR.
And it's about to start again... Here we go.
