As can undoubtedly be seen in the picture, our colleague Heiko Deppler visited the ChangeNOW in Paris last week. 🗺 The Change Now Conference is coined as 'The largest event of solutions for the planet'. This motto resonates perfectly with Twip's mission as an Impact Investor, leveraging technology to generate impactful outcomes for both the planet and people. 💪 Here are some insights into Heiko's experiences at the conference: 🗼 Certainly, the stunning location, nestled near the iconic Eiffel Tower, offered a breathtaking setting for engaging discussions on sustainability initiatives. 🌊 🔌 🚮 👖 Equally remarkable was the diverse array of solutions showcased across a multitude of sectors, including water, energy, textiles, waste management, and beyond. 🏬 Moreover, alongside the vibrant startup community, there was a notable presence from established industries. 📣 📣 On the 8th of November 2023 from 11.30 am to 1.00 pm 📆 the European Research Executive Agency (REA) organizes a session on the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) at #ecomondo2023. Launched and funded by the European Commission as part of the #circulareconomy Action Plan, the CCRI focuses on implementing the circular economy across Europe’s cities and regions. The event will give a general overview of the initiative and present 4 EU funded projects that are part of the initiative, specifically: two pilot projects started in 2021, FRONTSH1P and Agro2Circular, that aim to provide circular systemic solutions for sustainable growth in key product value chains; two Project and Development Assistance Projects (PDA), CircularInvest, InvestCEC project, that aim to support technically and financially circular economy projects to make them more "investment ready". 🎩off to Easyfairs Belgium for their sense of innovation towards a more sustainable world. It is gratifying to see such energy transition initiative taken in the events industry and more particularly for entrepreneurship in Flanders. I had already highlighted a considerable effort to be part of the future in technology, but I find that they are pushing the envelope further in sustainability 👏👏 Indeed, As they are members of the #NetZeroCarbonEventsPledge and commit to being net zero by 2050 and to halve their greenhouse gas emissions by 2030. They have reached an important milestone in their sustainability efforts by the introduction of LED lighting at Flanders Expo.
