Exciting News from the DPDE Research symposium ! 🌟 I'm proud to announce that I recently had the opportunity to present my research, "Leveraging AI Tools for Optimizing Design Research Education," at the held DIGITAL PEDAGOGIES IN DESIGN EDUCATION ( DPDE) an International Research Symposium on March 27, 2024, at RV University, Bangalore. This study delves into the significant impact of AI on enhancing learning outcomes in design education. 📊 Key Findings: - Students utilising AI tools showed a 40% increase in design thinking skills, compared to traditional methods. - Projects developed with AI assistance were rated 30% higher in creativity by external reviewers. - The integration of AI reduced project completion times by an average of 25%, enabling more comprehensive exploration within the curriculum. These results demonstrate the substantial benefits that AI tools can bring to educational environments, enhancing both efficiency and creativity. In technologically advanced regions, AI has been integrated into the curriculum for students in grades 6 to 12. The goal is to foster an understanding of AI and its societal implications through a systematically designed course. This sequential approach aims to cultivate employability and professional skills among students. However, the concern arises when contrasting this with developing countries, where children are still exposed to curriculums that may be up to 50 years old, prompting questions about the educational disparity and its potential impact on future opportunities.
