The last 8.5 years at D5 and Song were invaluable. From Super Bowl to experiential, creative to measurement and media planning, I learned so much from all the amazing humans that have made D5/Song a powerhouse. UFA is an end-to-end creative marketing firm focused on helping growth stage brands graduate from niche to mass market competitor. Many companies at this stage are rapidly expanding through new product and service offerings or expanded distribution channels or geographic footprint. As the ambition of the business grows, the game changes and it becomes clear a new marketing playbook is necessary to succeed. Part of a ecosystem to develop omnichannel strategies to gain and manage opt-ins. Particularly interesting when moving into new TA's with new customer groups and for biotechs (focused on rare diseases) from the US who are moving into Europe and require more digital-heavy GTM models. Still seeing the need for providing strong omnichannel campaigns to firstly gain the opt-ins, but then make strong use of the opt-ins once they are gathered.

Their commitment to a CLUB mentality. They’re just two examples of when managers not only made a team but transformed a CLUB. How? Because they identified the following: 1) That the club has longevity compared to a team 2) Opportunities to build a fundamental foundation The fact is, they made the entirety of the badge a priority, not just the first team. That’s how you create a great club, and the best team(s).

Good Sunday morning to you. I have been reflecting lately about how grateful I am for the collaborative partnerships I have around me at Arvet. Everyone we are working with whether it’s the Swedish theatrical release of the Aussie creature feature or our preparations as we boot strap our first feature in virtual production based on the book by Lars Wilderäng, Fallet. I am in awe by the incredible individuals we have with us and their commitment and dedication. When we all got together in our different backgrounds and purpose - one common thing that each person said was this, “We do not want to work with assholes anymore.” Leadership at its core is to engage people to commit to a common goal for intended purpose and outcomes. How this happens matters - the process informs the quality of the outcome. Which is why when toxic leadership or toxic management and colleagues get hired and stay hired - the results are costly to the bottom line, talent retention, innovation and overall health and happiness. We have a motto at Arvet - some of you might have seen in this in my email signature at the bottom of my emails. The motto is this : “It takes only one turd to stop everyone from swimming in the pool.” If you have turds, fire them.
