AMEC applauds the Queensland Government's continued investment in the critical minerals industry with the launch of the "Queensland Critical Minerals Prospectus." It showcases projects ready for investment at different mining stages, and comes as part of Queensland's $315 million Critical Minerals Strategy. Recognising the potential of the area, Resources and Critical Minerals Minister Scott Stewart said “Queensland is in the box seat to capitalise on the global push to decarbonise because quite simply, we’ve won the geological lottery.” Featured in the prospectus are 10 AMEC member companies: True North Copper | Harmony Gold Mining Company Limited | Multicom Resources | Richmond Vanadium Technology | Critical Minerals Group Ltd | Metallica Minerals Limited | Diatreme Resources Limited | Graphinex | EQ Resources Limited | RZ Resources Read the full Prospectus ➡️ https://ow.ly/SpgM50SIQ0V Part of the launch also included a newly created interactive map outlining the critical minerals deposits, current producers, processing facilities and other infrastructure mentioned in the prospectus. To see the map ➡️ https://ow.ly/f01M50SINgf The map is dynamic and if you wish to add to it contact the department and they will enact changes accordingly. 📸 Kate Dickson & Scott Stewart MP #CriticalMinerals #DepartmentOfResources #MineralsMap #MineralDeposits #Infrastructure #QLD

Can responsible mining strike the balance between resource extraction and environmental stewardship? In a world hungry for clean energy, mining plays a silent yet pivotal role. By 2030, existing mines will only meet half the demand for cobalt, lithium, and copper—the very backbone of our eco-friendly technologies. But new mining projects face hurdles—environmental approvals, community acceptance, and the wild swings of boom-and-bust pricing cycles. The wheels of change are turning rapidly, with clearer rules supported by legislation like the Inflation Reduction Act. At Projects RH, our clients envision a bright future for the minerals sector, and investors are seizing opportunities. Let’s hope exploration companies join the journey soon! The mining sector is facing a complex path to scale critical materials needed for the energy transition – while also balancing the competing pressures of security, sustainability, affordability and competitiveness. To help navigate the way forward, we see five areas of intervention for mining companies to consider: - Adapt portfolios to meet demand - Increase collaboration to innovate and derisk investments - Leverage AI to leap in productivity - Treat CapEx as the new OpEx with a focus on effective delivery - Accelerate decarbonisation technologies These key insights, and more, emerged from an exclusive event hosted by McKinsey & Company at IMARC 2024, ‘Mining the Future: Securing Critical Materials and Leading the Way to Net-Zero.' Thank you to Carola Wagner, Christiaan Heyning, Jake Klein, Michelle Keegan, Patricia Bingoto-Maeder and Tino Grabbert for sharing their expertise with us. McKinsey is proud to be the Headline Sponsor of IMARC 2024, the premier global mining and resources conference, based in Sydney. #CriticalMinerals #NetZero #FutureofMining #IMARC2024 International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC)

At this year’s Raw Materials Summit, we were reminded of the incredible potential that Europe’s mining sector holds. After years of underinvestment, Europe’s mining industry is emerging as a leader in responsible practices. Cutting-edge technologies are transforming the industry, enabling us to minimise environmental impact, enhance worker safety, and move closer to decarbonisation. I agree completely with Rolf Kuby, Director General of Euromines, when he said: “We can be proud of the mining industry in Europe and its potential”. There’s a wealth of untapped resources here in Europe, and as demand for critical raw materials grows, modern technology will be key to unlocking these resources responsibly and efficiently. I look forward to welcoming more experts like Rolf to continue this crucial conversation at the next Raw Materials Summit, May 13-15, 2025, in Brussels. #MiningInnovation #Sustainability #RawMaterials #ESG #Decarbonization #RawMaterialsSummit #RMSummit2025 #future #technology #europe
Despite years of underinvestment, Europe has become a global leader in responsible mining. Combining cutting-edge technology with high ESG standards, the industry is minimising environmental impact, enhancing worker safety, and accelerating decarbonisation. As Rolf Kuby, Director General of Euromines, emphasised at this year’s #RawMaterialsSummit, we now have a mining industry we can be proud of. As demand for critical raw materials surges, Europe has a great opportunity to tap into its resources to secure long-term prosperity and our strategic autonomy. By fully harnessing our potential for innovation and continuing to promote the highest standards, we can not only secure our raw materials supply but also lead the world in responsible mining. #Mining #Sustainability #ESG #StrategicAutonomy #CriticalRawMaterials #Innovation #Decarbonisation #RMSummit2025
