Harmony delivered a stellar performance for H1FY25, driven by higher recovered grades and increased gold prices. Group revenue rose 18% to R37 billion (US$2.1 billion), with strong cost management and consistent, predictable production leading to record interim operating free cash flows of R10.4 billion (US$579 million). Headline earnings per share rose 33% to 1 270 SA cents (US 71 cents, up 39%). This resulted in a record interim dividend payout of R1.4 billion. “These results reflect our commitment to delivering safe, profitable ounces and improving margins. Through disciplined and responsible capital allocation, we are improving the quality of our portfolio and transforming Harmony into an international gold-copper producer,” said Harmony CEO, Beyers Nel. Harmony has proudly partnered with the Department of Education in the Free State, Gauteng, and North West regions to launch a meaningful initiative aimed at publicly expressing gratitude to outstanding teachers in our country. This partnership underscores Harmony's commitment to supporting education and recognising the exceptional efforts of educators who play a crucial role in shaping the future of our learners. The Teachers Awards, organised by the Department of Basic Education, is a significant initiative that acknowledges the dedication and creativity of teachers who often work under challenging circumstances. “These awards highlight the importance of quality education in addressing various societal challenges and emphasise the pivotal role that educators play in this regard,” said Dr Mashego Mashego, Executive Director for Harmony Gold. The awards ceremony for the Johannesburg West District Department of Education (DOE) took place on February 14, 2025. The Johannesburg West District emerged as the top-performing district in the country, achieving an impressive 97% pass rate for the second consecutive year (2023-2024). This remarkable achievement is a testament to the hard work and dedication of the educators in the district. #MiningWithPurpose
