Last week, we invited them all to the first partner event, hosted at Digital Catapult, to celebrate that commitment, agree the priorities and build a plan. All with the aim to help innovative businesses find the right skills, at the right time, in the right place. The 15th  G-20 Y at Evian-Les-Bains Has started today with leaders ranging form Tokyo, Kuala Lumpur or Ryad to South Africa or the US, (and of course a Belgian). The scope of this year Summit is about the paradigm shift from the old model of management ( vertical integration, industry, scale and efficiency) to one of ecosystem where network, technology and agility are becoming the management filters of surivival and success of the 21th century organization.   Key message of the first day: 1.  #Business ecosystems are real but though to get off the ground and play- only 1 out of 8 #ecosystems succeeds. 2.  There is no free lunch- ecosystems allow faster innovation, specialization, and barriers to entry to “#flyingwheels” effects- however, interdependencies makes the system actors more dependent, the #orchestrator may close access in some cases, and #technology embeddedness and integration are complex 3.  Most companies are feeling the paradigm change #dilemma- stay the old way of organizing, or move to more nimble agile plays in broader ecosystems, or multiple ecosystems—at the end, management and board need to create the vision, the roadmap and incentives fast. 4.  The end user defines value creation in ecosystem—technology can help to be direct to customer,, while data and AI can build prediction and personalization. Ecosystems that will thrive will thus be obsessed by #enduser.  5.  Do not try to be the orchestrator—platform tend to be the one taking that role, given their end user reach without mass. Being a #node in a ecosystem is possibly as rewarding, if you specialize; without the obligation and integration/ maintenance requirements of the orchestrators.  G-20Y Association

Today I am heading to the beautiful city of Stockholm to attend the Future Talent Council annual summit. This year I get to represent TQSolutions and present on some of the findings from my #skills research which is super exciting. However, I wanted to share some thoughts more broadly around how important events like ITC Asia are to bring together like-minded people who want to accelerate the digital transformation of the industry, help their companies progress faster /better and of course enhance their own career and business prospects. As we get deeper into this business transformation it becomes clearer that tech is no longer the sole responsibility of IT and it is important for the business to play their part. On 7 March, EuroCham hosted a transformative C-Suite event in collaboration with our knowledge partner Telstra Enterprise, delving into the Generative AI revolution. Bringing together 20 European MNC C-Suite leaders in Singapore, the intimate setting fostered deep discussions around the recently released whitepaper from Telstra and MIT Technology Review. The Telstra-MIT paper addressed crucial questions for business leaders: • How will Gen AI impact job functions in the next 3 years? • Where is Gen AI influencing current and future tech investments or potential divestments? • What challenges do business leaders face in successful Gen AI adoption, based on insights from early adopters? In today’s era of Hyperconnected #Digital and #AIBusinesses, Telstra shared the importance of global connections and infinite possibilities to navigate the fast-evolving data maturity and AI adoption journey.
