Our Deep Panuke story comes to an end🌟 We’re proud to share the culmination of our Deep Panuke PFC Recycle Project, under SBM Offshore’s Responsible Recycling Policy. The safe and successful conclusion of this project has set a new industry benchmark, demonstrating our full lifecycle approach to assets married with a strong commitment to sustainability and safety. 🔄 Recycling with Impact: By choosing to recycle locally, we generated significant economic benefits in Nova Scotia, and achieved a substantial reduction in carbon emissions, saving 2,500 tonnes of CO2. ♻️ Sustainability Success: An impressive 97% of the PFC has been recycled, reused, or redistributed, showing environmental stewardship. 🔒 Safety First: A clean safety record, with zero safety-related accidents or incidents (0 TRIFR) throughout the project duration. 🤝 Community and Growth: Providing employment opportunities, fostering investment in First Nations, and supporting locally-owned businesses, suppliers, and partners, has positively contributed to the region’s economical state. 🎥 Watch the video and witness the journey of the Deep Panuke PFC Recycle Project. Let’s celebrate this success and continue to support responsible decommissioning in our industry. #SBMOffshore #Decommissioning #Sustainability #Recycling #Safety #TrueBlueTransition #DeepPanuke

Appreciate to have been part of the Deep Panuke life cycle. Back in spring 2012 I first arrived in Halifax during the offshore hook-up and commissioning phase of the EPCIO project. I experienced the wonderful people of Halifax and a great SBM team committed to fix the project technical challenges. Now more than 10 years later and in a different role I was also fortunate to be part of the project decommissioning and recycling project which again was done together with the local community and partners. Thank you to all those who contributed to the Deep Panuke story.

Decommisioning is part of a life cycle of an offshore project which several people ignore in the beginning of a project. SBM is one of the few that consider decommisioning as important as normal operations and cosider this aspect at the time of orginal design itself, kudos to entire SBM design, engineering and operations teams for this achievement. I am happy to be a part of this project at some point of time during its life cycle.

RJMI is proud to have recycled Deep Panuke for SBM at our Green Ship Recycling facility in Sheet Harbour Nova Scotia.
