Did you know that 33% of all food produced globally is lost or wasted every year, and that 8% of all greenhouse gas emissions each year are due to food loss and waste? 👎 To combat food waste, we've joined WRAP's Courtauld Commitment 2030 initiative to reduce waste and emissions by one-fifth. We're working closely with WRAP to cut waste throughout our supply chain and in the home. At Quorn, we started to collect food waste data in 2019. By the end of 2023, we achieved a 32% reduction of food waste and all our food waste is now sent to anaerobic digestion to make renewable energy! We have also worked with likeminded partners such as FoodCycle, FareShare UK, and The Bread and Butter Thing to combat food waste and support communities. #sustainability #foodwaste

Sustainability showdown: how many litres of water does it take to make a 1L disposable plastic bottle? Here's a hint. It takes 162g of oil to manufacture a single 1 litre disposable PET bottle. Yikes. And the answer? 7 litres of water --> a single 1 litre disposable plastic bottle. Eek. At SIPGOOD, we're on a mission to take those plastic bottles out of the equation. We're staggered by the response to Love Stock Hate Waste with almost 100 brands signed up! We launched this campaign as we were outraged to learn that some brands still destroy their unsold stock. First, we ask brands to take our Love Stock pledge, second, sign our petition to legislate against this wasteful practice and third, we're working with the incredible people at In Kind Direct to facilitate a large-scale donation of unsold products to be distributed through their network to communities in need.  Change must happen – for the planet and for people who could benefit from the things that get outrageously incinerated or sent to landfill. At Leaf Health, giving back is at our roots. That’s why we partnered with One Tree Planted earlier this year, a non-profit dedicated to global reforestation.
