Following on from my post yesterday about us currently working on our 𝑺𝒑𝒓𝒊𝒏𝒈/𝑺𝒖𝒎𝒎𝒆𝒓 edition of Cruise & Ferry. We are also including a 𝐒𝐮𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞 𝐌𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐫𝐬 (SMI) report.. In this report we will take a fresh look at the sustainability performance of passenger ships. There are many trends that have been accelerated and intensified by COVID-19, either directly or indirectly. But none more so than sustainability within the aviation sector. While building infrastructure may only account for 1% to 10% of an airport’s overall carbon footprint, our responsibility is to reduce this impact to a carbon-zero or even carbon-negative position. Improving environmental performance of airports 🛫 🔍🗑  Achieving zero waste is for many airports a milestone on the path towards circular airports. Within TULIPS – Green Airports WorkPackage 6 Circular Airports EME explored solutions to #prevent, #reduce, or #recycle waste streams with Royal Schiphol Group, Avinor, Hermes Airports Ltd and TU Delft | Industrial Design Engineering.  💡 We want to share the ongoing great examples of TULIPS and other airports to foster collaboration between airports and share best practices.
