What amazes me every year is the level … of great innovation that is going on in Norway’s most innovative corporations - and all the lost opportunities for value creation that is lost in the corporations that still has not grasped that the only way to survive the Future is to build innovation prowess.Aker BioMarine ASA is a one of Norway’s best corporations, not by chance, but by innovation design. Kudos to Matts Johansen and his team, and to all the other 24 corporations on this list #innovationbydesign, not by accident #digitalnorway #openinnovationlab Innovasjon Norge
Aker BioMarine ASA ranked among Norway's top 3 innovators 🥈⭐️ Today, INNOMAG, in collaboration with Computerworld Norway, has unveiled its list of Norway's 25 Most Innovative Companies for 2023-24, celebrating excellence in innovation. We are thrilled to share that Aker BioMarine ASA has once again claimed the prestigious second spot this year, maintaining the same position as last year. Our history with this accolade dates back to seven years ago when we first won, and the following year, we were honored as Europe’s most innovative company. 🎉 AUTO-TWIN Project 5th General Assembly 🎉 The AUTO-TWIN Project proposes a data-driven method based on a #processmining approach for Automated #DigitalTwin generation, operations, and maintenance in circular #valuechains (Horizon Europe project under the Grant Agreement No. 101092021). Our meeting focused on 🏭 Use Case achievements and next steps to reach applications and 👨🏭👩🏭 implementation goals: 🥇 The 1st Use Case is for an 🔋automotive battery online cloud platform, which can increase the life cycle of the batteries, the recovery rate of rare materials, improving the quality and testing control system, with consequent reductions in costs and times (Libattion with Iñigo Iturbe). 🥈 The 2nd Use Case is for the recycling process of 🍶 PET and polyester, to obtain new virgin-like plastic, and to reach reduction of software development time, plant reconfiguration time, and commissioning time, increasing productivity and company's ROI (GR3N SA with Franco Antonio Cavadini). 🥉 The 3rd Use Case is for the sterilization of 💉✂️ health sector instruments and devices, for the increase of product life-cycle length, and for the improvement of maintenance performance, optimising warehouses and process efficiency, lowering production of harmful waste and risks, while saving on costs and raw materials (Croma Gio. Batta Croma Gio. When Your Product is a 10-Year Sustainability Project Think sustainability in medical devices is just about quick fixes? Clare Brooke PhD from Boston Scientific reveals a different reality. At our recent Med-Tech Innovation Expo panel, she unpacked the complexities: -Product changes often take a decade due to regulatory hurdles -Packaging offers quicker wins - size and material tweaks matter -But the real game-changer? Looking at the entire care journey Here's the kicker: Sometimes the most sustainable product is the one that keeps patients out of the hospital or reduces procedure repeats. Claire's team is diving deep: -Establishing dedicated sustainability teams -Piloting lifecycle assessments -Collaborating across R&D and beyond The takeaway? True sustainability isn't just about the product - it's about its entire lifecycle and impact on patient care. How are you balancing long-term product development with immediate sustainability needs? #MedTechInnovation #SustainableHealthcare #ProductLifecycle #circularity #innovation #design #netzero #innovatetozero

🌍 "The future is now" – a well-known saying that reminds us to always be prepared. Of course, nobody knows exactly what the future holds, but an essential part of my role at Uhlmann Pac-Systeme is to anticipate the opportunities, challenges and changes that lie ahead. That’s why I was delighted to share my thoughts with The Medicine Maker about the key disruptors and innovations in the pharma sector over the next 5-10 years. 💡 🌐 Looking at the world today, we see multiple crises unfolding – making it clear that a fundamental revision of production strategies is urgently needed to tackle these challenges. Only a few industries are as tightly regulated as pharma, which makes flexibility a critical success factor. 🔑 The solution? Digitalization and automation! These technologies not only allow us to work more efficiently and sustainably but also to adapt quickly in times of crisis. Flexibility is also the driving force behind our #local4local approach: with local production and services, we can respond swiftly to geopolitical shifts and reduce reliance on global supply chains. 🏭 The future is not only right now; it's a challenge, but it's also equally very exciting. Together with our customers, we are ready to create the right solutions – anytime and anywhere. 🤝✨ 📢 Also, don’t miss the insights shared by my colleague Cristian Reiter, who takes a more technical perspective on the future of pharma. #PharmaFuture #Innovation #Digitalization #Sustainability #Leadership https://lnkd.in/dy5sHA9p
