Embracing the spirit of December being Human Rights Month, let's reflect on the fundamental principles that shape our workplaces. In every office, every industry, and every profession, let's champion equality, dignity, and justice for all. As we celebrate Human Rights Month, let's ensure that the rights of every worker are not just acknowledged but upheld. As the great Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. once said, "All labor that uplifts humanity has dignity and importance and should be undertaken with painstaking excellence." Take this time to consider how you can advocate not only for your rights but the rights of everyone in the workplace. "Equity means promoting just and fair inclusion throughout society and creating the conditions in which everyone can participate, prosper, and reach his or her full potential." - Stanford Social Innovation Review Together, let's foster an inclusive workplace where every voice is heard and every right is respected. #HumanRightsMonth #WorkplaceEquality #WorkersRights #equitymatters #stepupforequity

As we mark Juneteenth, a pivotal moment in history that signifies freedom and the triumph of human rights, it's crucial for businesses to introspect. This day reminds us of the importance of aligning public declarations with internal practices. Across the corporate landscape, we see many organizations commemorating holidays like Juneteenth on social media. However, the real measure of commitment to these values is reflected in how companies operationalize the principles of freedom, equality, and respect for history within their own walls. It's not just about a day off; it's about fostering a culture that truly embraces diversity and inclusion. It's about providing opportunities for employees to learn, reflect, and engage with the community. It's about ensuring that our actions resonate with the messages we broadcast to the world. #Juneteenth #CorporateIntegrity #DiversityAndInclusion #SocialResponsibility #CulturalAwareness

This December, join RHD to celebrate Universal Human Rights Month! Human rights are at the core of RHD’s values and mission. RHD’s co-founder and first CEO, Bob Fishman, championed this belief. He shared, “You’ve walked into a garden (now called RHD) in which we’ve said, ‘treat everyone else as though they have the value to be in our garden.’ And we’ve continued to grow and expand with that philosophy. And we do say to other people, there is a condition: you need to let others who look different than you, who feel differently than you, and who believe different things come into the garden with you. We have not created a garden in which we lock the doors. It’s a garden in which we agree that anyone who wants to help us plant and share can come in.” Every individual deserves to feel safe and share their beliefs in environments with mutual respect. RHD’s current CEO, Marco Giordano, continues to drive our mission through our initiatives. Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/ekPfGcT5 #UniversalHumanRightsMonth #HumanRights #RHD

Celebrating Juneteenth Do you know the history of Juneteenth? Juneteenth, celebrated on June 19th, commemorates the emancipation of enslaved African Americans in the United States. On this day in 1865, Union soldiers arrived in Galveston, Texas, with the news that the Civil War had ended and the enslaved were now free—over two years after the Emancipation Proclamation was signed. The US Government adopted Juneteenth as a Federal Holiday in June 2021 and many companies have begun adding this as a paid holiday for team members, believing that understanding and honoring this pivotal moment in history is crucial for fostering a culture of inclusivity and respect in the workplace. There are various, meaningful ways to celebrate Juneteenth, including: •Educational Initiatives: Hosting webinars, workshops, and discussions to educate employees about the history and significance of Juneteenth. •Community Engagement: Partnering with local organizations for community service projects or supporting Black-owned businesses. •Company-wide Reflection: Offering a day off or reduced working hours to allow employees to reflect, participate in local events, or spend time with family and friends. How does your company honor Juneteenth? #Juneteenth #DiversityAndInclusion #HR #WorkplaceCulture #Equality
