Suger (YC W23) has been listed on Salesforce's ISV/AppExchange for a few months but it's about time we announce (hello world?). Here's a few (obvious) facts: 🍬 Salesforce is the single source of truth for most business metrics. 🍬 Business users don't want to leave Salesforce for any part of their daily workflow. 🍬 EVERY B2B tool that serves the front office has an app on AppExchange - a testament to their platform power. Granted, I'm a bit biased. I worked there for 3.5 formative years and met some amazing mentors and peers. High level, here's how our customers are using the solution: 🍭 Create and track private offers, manage entitlements across AWS, Azure, and GCP (we actually do this today, instead of overpromising to customers that it's coming). 🍭 Convert public offers and usage to opportunities so that sales and support teams can monitor to convert to bigger commit deals. 🍭 Send outbound referrals to and receive inbound referrals from AWS and Azure (GCP for co-sell is coming as soon as they release the APIs mid year). 🍭 End-to-end reporting from lead gen to executed contracts. Users can create salesforce reports and dashboards of their marketplace data (joined to existing salesforce data) to align internal teams and drive rigor/adoption and revenue. 🍭 Orchestrate all the notifications by events (e.g. slack channel to monitor inbound referrals, channel to track when offer has been sent and accepted, channel to track when they got paid) We've been delighted to see mature customers design and execute plays and programs around the data (as they would direct sales). It's amazing how creative our users are once you show the data and tooling in the UI they use the most. Ultimately, our goal is to provide the easy button for B2B digital commerce. It starts with cloud marketplaces (and extends so much further thereafter). But we don't want people to have to learn a whole new motion of going to market. That kills internal adoption. Cloud marketplaces are an important place of work for your business, for lots of reasons. They're complex and powerful than they used to be and you need something like Suger (YC W23) to support your marketplace operations so you can do them in your current CRM, like Salesforce. You *could* use the native cloud marketplace tools (e.g. AWS Marketplace Portal) but you're creating a lot of work for yourself and slowing yourself down.

Ever wondered why a field isn't showing up for your Zapier action when building a workflow with Salesforce? If you are not checking that all profiles for all users have read permission on the field, you might be using permission sets or checking specific profiles. In that case, ensure your integration user registered in the Zapier action actually has the permission to see the field. #Salesforce #Zapier #Integration #Workflow

Are you sometimes confused about Salesforce jargon? I definitely am. I put together this infographic for anyone wondering what "B2B", "D2C", or "B2C" actually mean when you see them next to "Salesforce Commerce Cloud." Summary: Salesforce Commerce Cloud *B2C* is for retailers and brands selling directly to consumers, and is a standalone cloud based ecommerce platform fka Demandware. When they use words like Composable or Page Designer or PWA kit, they're talking about this one. Salesforce Commerce Cloud *B2B* or *D2C* is for businesses selling to other businesses, or even businesses on Salesforce that want to sell directly to consumers. This is built on Salesforce core, fka Cloudcraze, aka B2B2C. When they use words like Lightning Web Components or LWR or Experience Builder, they're talking about this one. ps, hope you like purple!
