Excited about the prospect of what this brings for Zambia’s copper output. The recently signed MoU between the Ministry of Mines and Ivanhoe outlines how Ivanhoe, which has applied for a significant exploration licence package in Zambia, intends to co-develop prospective projects in partnership with the Ministry of Mines. Under the terms of the MoU, the Ministry will identify prospective land packages; provide access to existing and new geological data collected by the Zambian government, including the recently announced 750 000 km2country-wide airborne geophysical survey. Who does this benefit? Zambia or Ivanhoe? This opportunity will only create jobs for Zambians getting paid $500 a month.While billions of dollars will leave Zambia. Does Ivanhoe plan to develop other businesses such as renewable energy, food production and EV battery manufacturing in partnership with Zambian entrepreneurs?
