WOW! - What a film, thanks for sharing BA Life! To answer your question, I think there is a LOT to be learnt from history and for me, most of it can be summed up in one comment: Don't fall for the new shiny object, instead always remember the basics, they have stood the test of time for a reason! #BA #BusinessAnalysis #BALife2025 #BALife
Learning from the past? - This amazing restored and colorised film from 1930's Edinburgh inspired a question: If we look back at the 'olden days' of Business Analysis, what can we learn? What could we restore? Perhaps even add colour to? 🌈 This video caught our eye because, for BA Life, Edinburgh is our home city (it was even the "e" in the original acronym of "BA Life"!) When you watch the video, you will experience a beautiful restoration of a bygone era, a vibrant yet calm and tranquil city. Whether you know Edinburgh or not, you'll be forgiven for feeling a sense of nostalgia, perhaps wondering what we lost from those times... And it might even make you think, what have we lost over the years in Business Analysis or perhaps just business in general? Then again, maybe you think the "full colour" version of today's Business Analysis is an improvement... Tell us in the comment section below: Is there a technique you think has been lost to the sands of time and deserves restoration? Or perhaps, like a previous one of our posts, a technique like MoSCoW that hasn't weathered well and is best left in the past? What do you think? 🤔 #BAlife #BA #BusinessAnalysis #BALife2025 =-= Previous posts: Does MoSCoW need to go the way of the dodo? https://lnkd.in/d_M9TvCV BA Life changes its name?! https://lnkd.in/d8nfgQBf

My newly updated series, Merging Worlds, is a collection of double exposures that combines the architectural splendor of cityscapes with the tranquil beauty of landscapes. I'm carefully selecting and overlaying two contrasting images, that when blended together, work together in harmony to showcase the interconnectedness between humanity and the natural world. Despite their apparent differences, cities and nature are inextricably linked, constantly influencing and shaping one another. In this series, I seek to blur the line between reality and imagination by creating new worlds that are both familiar and surreal. Beyond their visual allure, these merged worlds are meant to inspire introspection about our place in the world, our impact on the environment, and the delicate balance between modern civilization and the timeless beauty of nature.

The world is indeed a beautiful place, full of wonder and awe-inspiring moments. As we explore the world, we are met with diverse landscapes, each with its unique charm. The golden sunrises, the fiery sunsets, the starry night skies – all remind us of the magic that surrounds us. The beauty of nature is not just visually stunning but also has a profound impact on our well-being and sense of connection to the world. Beyond the natural wonders, human creations also showcase the beauty of the world. Architectural marvels like the Taj Mahal, the Colosseum, and the Eiffel Tower inspire us with their grandeur and elegance. The vibrant arts, music, and culture of different civilizations add to the rich tapestry of human experience. Moreover, the beauty of the world lies in its people – their stories, struggles, and triumphs. Every individual has a unique perspective, shaped by their experiences and backgrounds, making the world a kaleidoscope of diverse perspectives and ideas. Despite the challenges and complexities we face, the world remains a beautiful place, full of hope and resilience. It is our responsibility to appreciate, protect, and preserve this beauty for future generations.
