I use social science to create powerful brand design

Big thanks to Future of Foods and Alex Crisp for inviting me on the podcast. Absolutely loved unpacking cultivated meat branding with Lauren Tracht I settled down with a cup of Sunday brew (coffee that is) to listen to our chat and for those who prefer a digest - here are some highlights. You can check the podcast out at the link below and tune in for more Future of Foods updates on X: @alex_futurefood and Youtube: Future of Foods Interviews Some interview highlights: 🌱What can cultivated meat brands learn from vertical farm messaging? The challenge of challenger concepts is shifting consumer behaviour, and articulating a clear, compelling reason to try something new. ❤️ The power of community in propelling novel ideas - reducing animal suffering is of course, important, however brands must go further to drive consistent purchase and stand apart from competitors entering the category. 😬 We then got talking about whether the average Trump supporter would be a target consumer - it was an interesting Segway. Probably no, but you never know was the overall conclusion. 💰A key area to consider is economic stability, government investment and regulation. Cultivated meat development and success will rely on being an economically viable, government approved option. 🤰The future of cellular product development is fascinating - #foodtech brands in Israel are developing cultivated breast milk, giving women and parents greater options, perhaps greater equality. 🥂 2024 is here and Future of Foods Interviews starts with a big bang 🔥 #24 Branding Cultivated Meat - "It's Better than Meat" ❓Why will people choose to eat #cultivatedmeat - is it just an inevitability? ❓Will some people spend more money on cultivated meat because it's meat which hasn’t suffered and will other people just never eat it? ❓How much trickery is necessary in marketing products like cultivated meat, cricket bars, or #donaldtrump? ❓How far should the #marketing of #cellularagriculture and cultivated meat shift away from any association with #veganism and #vegetarianism? Alex speaks to two industry branding experts Siena Dexter from Naked Ape and Lauren Tracht to get the low down on what's hot and what's not. The first Future of Foods Interview of 2024 is a hottie 🔥 a must listen for everyone and anyone - a great one for the weekend. Interesting subject! Not that I've tried loads of cultivated meat but I thought redefine meat products were surprisingly great. I'll leave you to judge the branding!
