This year Silverfort we have been averaging about 9-10 new hires a month. I like the new AI insights on companies that LinkedIn Navigator provides. Here are some key insights from LinkedIn about Silverfort: Headcount insights Significant growth in Information Technology and Customer Success: The 'Information Technology' and 'Customer Success and Support' departments have seen the highest percentage increase in headcount over the year, with 57% and 60% respectively. This suggests a strong investment in technology infrastructure and customer service capabilities. Here's a short Q&A with Heather about her role. What’s your role at Rival and what’s your favourite part about it? I am the Office Experience Manager in Vancouver at Rival. What I love most about this position is the ever-changing nature of each day. The office environment is dynamic, with different faces every day and tasks constantly changing. The day-to-day responsibilities are always shifting, and no day is ever the same here. This really keeps things interesting and engaging. Talk us through a great achievement you’ve had since working with us. The end of 2023 was a busy one at Rival/Reach3. We relocated our Vancouver office while hosting 2 company Holiday gatherings, with over 45 attendees flying in. Successfully managing these events simultaneously stands out as one of my top accomplishments at Rival. Everything fell into place seamlessly for the construction and relocation, while both parties turned out to be successes. Bringing everyone together and achieving these milestones was amazing. What surprised you most about working at Rival Technologies? Having never ventured into the tech industry before, it's very interesting to witness how it works. The fast-pace and ever-changing scope of the company have been exciting to be a part of. 11 years ago, on this weekend, I went with my two Atlanta roommates to Monster Jam. Not a care in the world — days before I started my new job. (Look how young and carefree we were, Sai and Robert!) My work goals back then? Show up on time and hit/exceed metrics. Unofficial goals? Start the company’s first softball team (co-credit to Robert Jones), win Halloween and summer contests, make new friends, and earn a decent paycheck. All that to say… Leaders: Don’t expect new hires to look or act like you. They aren’t going to have your same convictions and passion on day one. If they have the raw material you’re looking for, develop it. Invest in them. Show them the way instead of just telling them. They may surprise you! New hires: Don’t compare your first chapter to someone else’s book series. Just do your best — every day. Someone will notice. And if they don’t? Well, VocoVision is hiring! 😉 #workanniversary

As I watched this touching moment of Red Bull's team, it struck a chord with me. In our companies, we often chase after the 'perfect candidate,' overlooking the diamonds in the rough who could shine if given the chance. But what about those who hesitate to ask for the coat, fearing vulnerability in today's social media-driven (including LinkedIn) environment of 'perfect human beings'? Sometimes, candidates are quietly fighting through visa headaches, homesickness, housing arrangements, and/or underutilizing their skills to pay the bills. Yet, they keep pushing forward to achieve their dreams despite the challenges they face. When was the last time your company embraced the potential in someone, providing them with the opportunity to grow and lead?
