On World Environmental Day, businesses face a profound truth: adapt or be left behind. Companies must find their ‘why’ in sustainability. Renewable energy isn’t just an alternative; it’s a clarion call for innovation and leadership. I would argue it’s not about being the best in the world, but the best for the world. Embracing renewables is more than corporate responsibility; it’s a strategic pivot towards resilience, a testament to foresight, and a commitment to the future. It’s where purpose meets profit, and where values align with value creation. #WorldEnvironmentDay #Renewables #ENGIEUK #Direct #Responsibility

REN21 recently published a report outlining pathways or a “success recipe” for a just energy transition, on the heels of the #COP28 commitment to triple #RenewableEnergy capacity by 2030. #Minigrids, which we consider one of the best solutions to closing the #EnergyAccess gap, were identified as a topic of concern through the research study. The report also reinforced that in order to power communities in low-income communities, governments and financial institutions must play a significant role in creating an enabling environment through policies. Three key takeaways: 🌍Renewables make the world more sustainable ✅Compared to other energy sources, renewables bring clear benefits ⛔The potential negative impacts of renewables can be mitigated Read on. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dMjxwDxP #RESR #MinigridsForAfrica #RenewablesNow #REbootTheWorld #Sustainability #ClimateAction #SustainableEnergy

How to accelerate minigrid adoption and take-off, especially in low-income countries, and within low-income communities in particular, is an important challenge that needs considerable focus by UNEP Copenhagen Climate Centre, governments and all relevant actors. To achieve this, government and fiscal policies must consider making private sector and community-based organisations integral to this plan. Climate change mitigations must provide attractive incentives to all players: providers, users, financiers and governments. Building sustainable and resilient #climateaction programs must be promoted and supported as the new capital growth industry of the world that supports all living and non-living things on earth. #cop28 #minigrids #renewableenergy #energyaccess Africa Minigrids Program REN21 Calvin Omari

Effective marketing for renewable energy companies involves aligning messaging with their target audience's pressing needs and challenges. Too often, our renewable energy marketing agency sees incredibly worthy renewables companies fail to communicate why adopting their technology matters: this includes emphasising the messaging that ESG compliance - more readily achieved through their adoption - has direct business benefits. As NYU Stern reports, over 58% of corporate businesses experience a positive relationship between ESG and financial performance. While every renewable technology is different, and not every renewable solution is right for every project, there are powerful messaging strands that sit higher than the communications we often see in the sector. This article lays out, in our view, how renewable energy companies can align their marketing messaging to focus on deeper engagement with the issues at hand, providing more nuanced information to influence critical stakeholders. It's time to stop talking about your tech and start speaking to your decision-makers' challenges and bottom line. More investors are pushing for sustainable impact – growing their capital while positively influencing the planet. “We have certainly seen a growing desire among investors to contribute to positive social and environmental outcomes,” says Luke Spencer-Wilson, HYCAP COO. “As a result, private equity funds specialising in clean energy are seeing substantial growth. This growth is driven by several factors, including policy support, technological advancements, corporate commitments to sustainability, and rising investor demand for green investments. “Governments worldwide are implementing policies to support clean energy development, such as subsidies, tax incentives, and renewable energy mandates. Technological advancements in clean energy reduce costs and increase efficiency, making these investments more attractive. Additionally, large corporations are committing to sustainability goals, increasing demand for renewable energy solutions. Hydrogen Equity Partners UK Limited (HEP), part of the HYCAP Group, is an example of the role of private equity in the clean energy transition. Founded in 2021, HEP invests in private companies within the renewable energy ecosystem, including solar, wind, and energy storage projects. This strategy includes early-stage investments, operational improvements, and strategic partnerships. A notable portfolio company is Yamna , whose large-scale green ammonia initiative involves substantial renewable energy and battery storage capacity. And HYCAP has underlined its investment commitment across the net zero value chain, also investing in Wrightbus , which manufactures EV and hydrogen fuel cell buses; Ryze Hydrogen, which transports and distributes renewable energy; Hygen Energy, a hydrogen production facility; Liquid Wind, a green electrofuel development company, and Zeti , an award-winning innovator in fintech for clean transport adoption. #sustainable #investment #returns #netzero #HCYAP
