The International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA) has released its statistics for international congresses held in 2023. The number of conferences held in Japan was 363, ranking 7th in the world, and the number of conferences held in Sendai by city was 15, 6 more than last year, ranking 34th in Asia and 7th among Japanese cities after Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Yokohama, Fukuoka, and Sapporo! Japan and Sendai are becoming recognized on the global stage as suitable and attractive destinations to host international conventions. The ICCA statistics are based on conferences with 50 or more local participants held in three or more countries on a regular rotating basis (excluding bilateral conferences, government conferences, and conferences sponsored by the United Nations). At the Hungulf Expo and Conference, #Hungary's premier and highest quality expo venue, 90 carefully selected Hungarian manufacturers, startups, established companies, producers, and developers will present their products and services to business professionals from the Gulf countries. Among the Hungarian companies participating, the majority are beekeepers, while others include a wide range of food producers and mineral water bottlers. Additionally, a significant number of exhibitors come from the IT sector, featuring software developers and researchers. There also will be a conference for beekeepers focusing on high-quality Hungarian honey at our venue. The event will feature participation from Members of the European Parliament (MEPs). We have invited the ambassadors from the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, and Qatar to attend. We also expect representatives from Bahrain, Oman, and Kuwait to join us. Furthermore, prominent economic leaders and experienced trade professionals from the region have been invited, with some set to deliver presentations during the conference that will run concurrently with the exhibition. Vice President of the Hungarian-Gulf Friendship Group of the Inter-Parliamentary Union, and President of the Hungarian-Bahraini Friendship Group serves as the main patron and visionary behind the Hungulf Expo and Conference. Our aim is to connect Hungarian businesses and producers with the markets of the Gulf countries. This is a unique opportunity for Hungarian small and medium-sized enterprises and farmers to engage directly with economic representatives and diplomats from the Gulf region. The Prominent International Event “UFI 2024 Asia Pacific Conference” Kicks off on March 7 The opening ceremony of the two-day “2024 UFI Asia Pacific Conference” was held on March 7, attracting over 300 MICE industry leaders, including exhibition managers, professional exhibition organisers, and venue managers from mainland China, Europe and ASEAN countries, as well as Hong Kong SAR to Macao. In his speech at the opening ceremony, President of Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute (IPIM) Vincent U, representing the Secretary for Economy and Finance of the Macao Special Administrative Region Government, mentioned that Macao’s economy had recovered strongly, with GDP recording an 80.5% growth last year, and that Macao’s GDP is estimated to maintain a double-digit growth in 2024 (10.3%). #GDP #data #Macao #MICE
