"I See #India taking over the #US market" said Pernod Ricard CEO Jean Touboul at The Economic Times Times Now Summit 2024 "... with the alcohol beverage industry poised to expand by a staggering USD 64 Billion in the next five years." The House of Somrus bet on India starting 2014 before it was fashionable, we salute Jean Touboul 🙏 for his VISION. 25M+ new LDAs (legal drinking age consumers) in coming years, premiumization, rising purchasing power and #Innovation sum up the reasons WHY? We can't believe that The House of Somrus is the World's first line of India-inspired liqueurs and NOW the World's most awarded line of cream liqueurs. As they say, "1% strategy followed by 99% execution" as we enter India domestic market in 2024! 🙏 https://lnkd.in/gqq55ajd

India has surpassed China to become Pernod Ricard's second-largest market by sales for the fiscal year ending in June, according to Chairman and CEO Alexandre Ricard. This shift is attributed to a growing affluent consumer base and rising sales of premium brands like Absolut vodka, Chivas Regal, and Glenlivet. Previously, India contributed 10% of Pernod Ricard's global sales, ranking third behind the US and China. However, in terms of volume, it has been the company’s largest market for years. Pernod Ricard’s Indian operations, which include a single distillery in Nashik and 24 bottling sites, generated annual sales of Rs 11.5 billion. Holding about a quarter of India’s whiskey market, Pernod Ricard dominates 50% of the premium whiskey market and 42% of the imported spirits market, focusing on premium and semi-premium brands. #alcobev #alcohol #liquor #beverage #growth #markettrends #news #latestnews Pernod Ricard India LinkedIn News India Linkedin News Ashu Agrawal

I have moved to India and have been thinking where my experience can find a place. I worked on tea projects for Typhoo when it was part of the Cadbury portfolio. We were looking at developing vending methods, and blends. Masterfoods smashed it with their products. However, The India tea market size reached US$ 11.1 Billion in 2023. Looking forward, IMARC Group expects the market to reach US$ 14.7 Billion by 2032, exhibiting a growth rate (CAGR) of 3.18% during 2024-2032. The increasing consumer preference for premium and packaged tea brands, expansion of online retail channels, and awareness regarding the health benefits offered by tea represent some of the key factors driving the market. I think many NPD possibilties are possible to add value to this timeless and growing product.
