Great post Paul Wilkinson. Completely agree that ITSM practices are now a blurred landscape of ITIL, Agile and DevOps all of which require a slightly different approach but can all live happily together. Without a solid partnership with your customers there is no business and we definitely should always think about what it’s like to be them. Service Management is underrated but when enabled properly and with a customer first mindset Service Management and Service Delivery will reach new heights!

𝗦𝗲𝗿𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘄 𝗯𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗱 Just had a really enjoyable discussion and quite a few laughs with Sophie Hussey where we discussed the new breed of Service Management and what organisations now need to be focusing on - ➡️ If the old world of `ITSM` is colliding with the current world of fast-paced, continual delivery, you need to rationalise things quickly. Duplication and confusion between portfolio teams, SRE teams and service teams is costing organisations a lot of money and resulting in less-than-favourable feedback ➡️ The new world of Service Management is seeing things through the eyes of the consumer. Consumers should guide improvement and change and where money is invested ➡️ Culture is the key to a successful Service Management strategy ➡️ The skill set of the modern Service Management professional is now much different to the one of old. Things have changed and that isn't a bad thing Happy Monday everyone.
