We are proud to announce our participation in the new French government-funded project, PRECIZE (PRocédé ÉCologique et Innovant de liants de spécialité Zéro Émission). This project was funded by the French State as part of France 2030 operated by ADEME. It aims to enhance the sustainability of the key downstream markets at Imerys, including Building & Infrastructure and Performance Minerals, through the use of renewable energy and carbon reutilization. The project will contribute to the Group's global commitment to align its activities with the 1.5 degrees trajectory, reducing its scope 1 and scope 2 GHG emissions by 42% by 2030 from a 2021 baseline. Using new technologies will be an important lever to help achieve this ambition – especially for production site that produce the most emissions. This morning at the #COP28UAE "Shaping the Future of #Shipping" Summit, IAPH President and CEO of Port of Hamburg Jens Meier (4th right) highlighted the opportunities to deliver a sustainable and equitable #energytransition in the #maritime sector alongside International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) DG Francesco La Camera (2nd right) and other senior delegates.
