A typical day, wearing the glasses 👓 of the climate crisis Take 36 minutes - roughly the same duration as an episode of a TV series - to watch this video. 🎥 There are no grand productions behind it; it's quite amateurish, but it encapsulates the stream of thoughts of an ordinary person who suddenly realizes the impact of the #climatecrisis on everyday life: 🗣️ "I feel like I’m in the film DON’T LOOK UP. Seeing very clearly the urgent warnings from scientists, as I watch people just carry on as normal. This film is another attempt to show you what I see. To show you what I know and cannot unknow. On the 24th of May 2023, I recorded all my "Climate Aware" thoughts that day, thoughts I just wouldn’t have had if I didn’t know what I know." Here, we have a day of reflections from someone fully aware of the risks and challenges that lie ahead: 🗣️ "We see people who are engaged, recognizing what's happening around them, and simultaneously, we see others in complete denial of the situation. And you? We are individuals with completely different circumstances, but we are all in some way involved in the climate issue. Not taking action right now and turning a blind eye while we miss this opportunity to do something is absolutely unacceptable.. It's time to act, whatever that means for you." I needed this reminder today that the climate crisis is urgent. That means making changes today. It's hard to imagine there are still people not understanding humanity's damage, and the impending (and current) environmental impact. If you have half an hour, please watch this if you haven't already. It's very sensibly put together, and worth your time. We need films like this to shake up more people to take action.
