The present #Tennis scene is akin to corporate life. When the top boss makes way, the game opens up prospects for a lot of younger players. The audiences also take notice of their skills which are newer and fresher. It changes orbit of the game and shifts competition to a different gear. With Novak , the only one left among the Big 3 , mens tennis is showcasing so much more talent, at best 1 of these young seeds would make it to the semis earlier. The women’s draw is almost like an equal opportunity employer , so many of them are so talented. Iga / Aryna / Jessica / Elena / Ons / Coco. Closer home Ankita / Vaidehi Meanwhile the boys Carlos / Fritz / Tiafoe / Shelton / Medvedev / Tsitsipas Fans are spoilt for choice and it’s a rich broth of talent being unleashed. More companies need to recognise new / mature talent show case it internally and externally , it’s great energy and redefines #competitivestrategy.

This campaign is powerful. By flipping the script and asking male athletes the same questions that female athletes are asked, the gender bias becomes impossible to ignore. Working recruiting and HR, I often use the 'flip the script' technique with line managers when biases emerge during hiring process. My rule of thumb is - if you wouldn't ask every single candidate the same question, and you're only directing it toward some candidates, there is an opportunity to reflect on whether the question is biased and therefore inappropriate.
