Attorney (Business Immigration) | President-Elect of SABANY

Congratulations to South Asian Youth Action (SAYA), whose gala raised $750,000 last weekend. We are big fans of SAYA here at South Asian Bar Association of New York (SABANY). SAYA supports primarily first- and second- generation immigrant youth of color who face barriers against their academic and social success. Their work helps students graduate high school and attend college, improving academic outcomes and transforming the trajectory of their lives. These kids may be the ones leading the charge in our legal arenas some day. To find a nexus between SABANY and SAYA, look no further than SAYA Board Chair Samidh Guha, a SABANY fixture who we are proud to see leading critical nonprofit initiatives as he does. Samidh is a big draw for leaders in our community, including many friends pictured below (Mahesh Parlikad / महेश पार्लिकाड, Partner at Jones Day; Amol Sinha, Executive Director at ACLU of New Jersey; Naju Lathia, Partner at Day Pitney LLP; Shruti Shah, Esq., Director of Global Ethics & Compliance at McKinsey & Company; Rippi Gill Rangwala, VP and Chief Product Counsel at Berkshire Hathaway and SAYA Board Member; Tawfiq Rangwala, Partner at Milbank LLP), just to name a fraction of the many prominent lawyers who came to show support. Kudos to Samidh and the entire SAYA Board. Their event was immensely successful, and their work is even more profound.

Thanks for coming out and supporting SAYA! So great to see you and so many long-time SABANY members and leaders there supporting this great organization serving the youth in our community.

Wonderful gala for such an important cause. Congratulations to the Gala Committee and hosts.
