The University of Montana Western Rodeo Team hosted its 54th Annual Montana Western Rodeo Banquet last month. The rodeo banquet is the primary fundraising event for student scholarships, facilitating essential practice opportunities, offsetting travel expenses, covering hotel accommodations, and supporting the Montana Western College rodeo in the fall. This year at the event, UMW Rodeo paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Benny and Rooster Reynolds, two of Dillon's most iconic rodeo heroes. Great to be part of this Panel discussion at the #MEW2024 event in Swansea. Key points from my perspective, with a particular focus on The Crown Estate Round 5 process. - We already know lots about key consenting issues. We just need to access and apply this learning in a sensible and pragmatic way. - For existing and future key issues, strategic level studies should be the primary mechanism to resolve them (whilst recognising that project-level studies will also play a key role). - Collaboration is key. From optimising stakeholder engagement to methods of data collection to approaches to assessment.
