NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT) provides direction and management to the #CWIX #testing programme, while NATO and Partner Nations sponsor #interoperability capabilities with #specific objectives defined by Allied Command Transformation and National Leads. CWIX focuses primarily on #testing and improving the interoperability of NATO and #NationalCommand, #Control, #Communications, #Computers and #Intelligence systems, with particular emphasis on those that would be #deployed within the NATO ✯✯✯#AlliedResponseForce. The exercise supports the development of #MultiDomain Operations and Digital Transformation by focusing on standards and #specifications; #tests the #exchange and #fusion of #information and #data across all domains, focusing on #datacentricity; #derisks interoperability to provide #Command and #Control for current #missions; designs interoperability into near-fielded and #emerging systems; and continues to $#experiment with #spaceinformation and how it can be #exchanged and fused.

Year after year, NATO's top experts gather at #CWIX to explore, experiment, examine, and exercise interoperability capabilities. Today marks the 25th time that #NATO's top interoperability exercise has kicked off, with over 2,500 participants testing more than 490 capabilities. #Interoperability and #readiness are crucial to the success of the Alliance, allowing national forces to deploy together, communicate effectively, and be effective from the start of an operation. For 25 years, NATO Allies and partners have gathered at the Coalition Warrior Interoperability eXercise (#CWIX), #NATO's largest interoperability exercise, to test the technology and standards needed to exchange and share information across all domains. Battlefield Innovation: representatives from the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence, participated in the premier NATO's interoperability exercise, #CWIX'24, hosted by NATO Allied Command Transformation (ACT). They tested a unique and robust Ukrainian battlespace management system called DELTA for its #interoperability within a #NATO environment. DELTA is a system developed for and by the military. It is the largest Ukrainian integration platform and national data lake that operates in the cloud. It is unique in its ability to create situational awareness tools, such as a digital map platform that allows for manual information input or integration with various sensors, trackers, radars, and satellite providers. This enables users to track the location of friendly forces and identify enemy positions. WASHINGTON — Following this week’s NATO summit here, the 32 allies are planning to build a first-ever commercial space strategy to speed new technologies to their militaries. “The threats are real, and they’re going to be fast. And so there’s a pace of technology and capability, innovation and scaling that needs will occur in the space sector. In order to have speed, the ability to leverage the commercial sector and commercial relationship with the industry, in space capability — especially things like observation, communications and the like — is going to be essential,” he told the Chamber’s NATO Defense Industry Forum. https://lnkd.in/dk6gU6xR

As we build more cloud capabilities for NATO operations, we need more soldiers that are proficient in software development to develop and adapt new capabilities. As this becomes more common, the alliance has the potential to unleash the tech ecosystems of all member states to enhance the alliance. This will require the right leaders implementing the right policies, and from what I am seeing, NATO is on the right path.

At the #NATO Space Symposium there were important discussions across NATO commands, nations, industry and academia on the growing importance of #space security. 🌐 The need for resilience, deterrence and defense in space will require collaboration across allies and industry sectors-- Aerospacelab is ready to support.
