Recently we had a poll on our Instagram stories asking about people's biggest challenge in opening up to a therapist. 43% said "not knowing where to start," 23% said "fear of judgment," 19% said "feeling vulnerable," and 15% had difficulty trusting a stranger. We completely understand these concerns. Beginning therapy can feel intimidating and uncertain. The great part is - that's exactly what therapists are here for. To put you at ease. To create a space where you feel heard, not judged. As therapists, we start where you are comfortable. We take things slowly, only discussing what you feel prepared for. Opening up happens gradually, by building mutual understanding and trust between us. Our role is to support you through this process with care and empathy. Some of life's greatest breakthroughs come from leaning into vulnerability and dismantling our walls slowly but surely. But that takes time, and the right foundation.
