We recently announced our lead investment in Terrantic, a SaaS platform that takes complicated, analog silos of existing data and leverages AI to generate actionable insights for customers across the agricultural value chain. Supply Change Capital partner Noramay Cadena shared in Yahoo Finance, "An optimized and data-informed supply chain is critical to enabling a sustainable food system. Operational efficiency and data insights within the supply chain - from food processing to agriculture to process manufacturing - are the keys. We are proud to be investing in Terrantic, whose technology will modernize operations for the industry and improve food system sustainability." Terrantic’s first customers are packhouse operators. The company addresses key problems for produce packhouses: optimizing labor, reducing waste, and maximizing profit by better matching supply with demand. 🤝 New partnership aims to develop new ingredients through upcycling. Italian agrifoodtech player Amadori is collaborating with upcycling company REDUCED to transform the former's sidestreams in new, savory food ingredients through the latter's unique fermentation technology called W2T. Giorgia Mainardi, Innovation Manager at Amadori, states, “We are pleased to announce our partnership with REDUCED, a Danish startup that develops natural flavors and ingredients from food industry byproducts. REDUCED's technology and process will allow us to create further value from our sidestreams, reducing our environmental impact and contributing to a circular economy.” The R&D teams of both companies are currently developing the new products in Denmark and are on track to release the first prototypes of their innovation.
