These highly skilled Sailors deploy a variety of “booms” that use different methods to corral and contain a spill. These booms use mooring systems, such as anchors or landlines, which can be maneuvered to close off sensitive habitat or to divert the oil away. (December 3, 2023): In its ongoing efforts to improve communication between units, the Marines have harnessed satellites to serve mobile aerial and maritime platforms, ground vehicles, and dismounted soldiers. THE HALO TECHNIQUE IS DARING, RISKY Undisclosed Location. East Africa. (January 9, 2024): One of the most daring, and dangerous, techniques to insert warfighters into combat is by way of a HALO jump. In this photo by Staff Sergeant Allison Payne, Air Force operators assigned to the 82nd Expeditionary Rescue Squadron and Joint Personnel Recovery Center perform HALO jumps from Marine Corps KC-130J Hercules cargo aircraft. HALO stands for high altitude-low opening military free falls and is a method to deliver people and supplies via parachute insertion. In the HALO technique, the parachutist opens the parachute at a low altitude after free-falling for a lengthy period before pulling the cord. The technique allows pilots to remain at altitude out of range of ground fire or missiles while increasing the stealth and accuracy of insertions. This post is spot on for #EFMP and SNP families trying to access #ABA services. DoD needs to assess all quantitative and non-quantitative limitations that serve as barriers to accessing #healthcare and #mentalhealth. Portions of the Mental Health Parity and Addiction Equity Act (MHPAEA) need to be enacted for #militaryfamilies to prevent some of the issues #military #specialneeds families have brought up about the Autism Care Demonstration. MHPAEA could also help with accessing clinical #behavioralhealth services to treat #anxiety and #depression before thoughts turn towards #suicide. Resource gaslighting is a real thing. Offering resources that are unattainable by the beneficiary due to requiring excessive paperwork, lack of providers delivering the services, unclear qualifying criteria, or unaffordable has been felt by military families. Difficulty obtaining services brings into question the ability as a caregiver to ensure their loved one has access to healthcare and a high quality of life. This ultimately results in a negative effect to the family’s Resilience, Readiness, and Retention while in military services. #MAA is committed to constant and continual discussion with legislators to ease restrictions and allow our military services to protect their individual families just as well as they protect our country. #specialneeds #TRICARE #EFMP #empowerment #missionready #MissionAlphaAdvocacy #military #army #navy #airforce #marines #coastguard #spaceforce

What other organization outside of the DoD has a supporting non-profit that offers next-to-no questions asked interest-free loans and grants? Active Duty friends and colleagues, consider this: Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society is almost entirely volunteer-run, with 90% of donations going directly to Sailors, Marines, and their families. It gave out 50 million just last year alone. Unfortunately though, annual donations continue to decline. Last year's fund drive only received $750,000 from Hampton Roads Area commands. We can turn this around though! With as little as $5 per month, per service member, NMCRS could collect well over 18 million during this year's campaign.
