Let's address this together; Frequent passage of loose stool, clinically called Diarrhea, is a major cause of death in children below the age of five. It will interest you to know that the effects of diarrhea affect both great and small equally. It leads to dehydration, extreme body weakness, shock, unconsciousness, and death. In situations like this, rehydration is the core component of treatment. Individuals and parents/guardians are encouraged to start Oral Rehydration Therapy (ORS) before coming to the hospital. It could be prescribed even after your visit to continue rehydration at home. Now, the question is how do you dilute ORS before use? To be Continued. Kindly share your opinion in the comments. 2moThank you for sharing this timely piece it's important we know what and how to manage diarrhoea especially in children. I lost an aunt to diarrhoea because they felt she was cleaning her system until her kidneys shut down before morning. It's necessary to get rehydrated immediately when you start having diarrhoea because delay may be dangerous.
