Let's talk about something close to our hearts: caring for our loved ones, especially when they may be facing health challenges like a stroke. It's crucial to recognise the signs, so remember F.A.S.T: F - Face: Notice any drooping, even through a screen. A - Arms: Ask them to lift their arms; can they? S - Speech: Listen closely for any slurring or confusion. T - Time: Every second counts; don't hesitate to act. Understanding the signs can make a difference. Let's stay connected, stay informed, and above all, stay caring. #agedcarespecialists #agedcarespecialist #homecare #homecarepackages #residentialcare #agedcarefinancial #independentagedcarespecialist #agedcareplacementagent #homecareadvisor #futureplanning

Bonsai symbolizes harmony, peace, and balance. The bonsai tree is so valued that it is given thoughtful and loving care every day. This consistent daily care leads to a long and healthy life (which should be a practice for us all). For those reasons, Aptiva chose the bonsai tree for our company logo. That same patience and attentiveness is instilled in Aptiva’s client-centered approach to caring for older adults and people who are ill, injured or face ongoing health challenges. #aptivacaremanagement #takecareeveryday #medicaladvocate #patientadvocate #eldercaremanagement #chronicillnessmanagement #aptivacaremanagement #aptivacares #coordinatedcare #carecoach

[Guide, Advocate, Educator] [End of Life Doula | Advance Care Planning | Grief Companion] I provide a calm and compassionate presence, education, and support to individuals and families during the end of life experience.
Advance care planning is for EVERYONE. If you're 37, in perfect health, and at the top of your game - you will not live forever. If you're 89 and recently diagnosed with a terminal illness - you will not live forever. It can feel daunting to think about, but making decisions and having conversations with the person who will be our voice is a brave and caring act for ourselves and for those who might one day make decisions on our behalf. Lean into the edge of your comfort zone. Taking inventory and making these decisions can give us great insight into our values, who we are, and what is important to us, and how we want to live. If you're unsure where to begin, I'm here to help. I'll guide you through creating your end-of-life planning documents and we'll strategize on the best ways to discuss these plans with your family and loved ones. Making these decisions can feel scary, but it doesn't have to be and you don't have to do it alone. We'll work together and ensure your wishes are clearly understood and respected.
