It's feeling real enough that I think it's time to announce it; and close enough that I think I *need* to announce it to fully process it... ...5 April will be my last day at the Center for Army Analysis. I've worked at this organization in a variety of capacities for nearly 18 years (inclusive of my internship time while completing my undergraduate studies). I've been truly blessed to have worked for an organization that is: - So uniquely postured to see, understand, and influence, such a broad swath of the Army (and Joint!) enterprise; - So well-staffed with a variety of perspectives, competencies, backgrounds, skillsets, and interests; and with unfailingly collegial, industrious, and dedicated teammates; and - So well-led with executives with uncommon vision and who enthusiastically encourage their subordinates to accept prudent risk and exercise disciplined initiative. I'll provide another update in mid-April when I've completed my move to my new position; for now, I will share only that: - It's still a Department of the Army civilian position - I'll continue to serve and support this force and its people who are so vital to our national defense; and - I'll still be collaborating, advocating, influencing, and achieving at the intersection of strategy, policy, and analysis - my office, perspective, and mission will change, but I anticipate continuing to leverage my connections to all three of those communities to help Army leaders make sound decisions in challenging contexts.
