I committed a rookie mistake yesterday. I’m attending a conference where a large number of military folks are present. Seeking to work on my health, I headed to the hotel gym at 5:30 am. PACKED,….the place had folks on every machine, lifting every weight, no room to stretch. So, I left, grabbed a cup of coffee, and returned to the room to triage emails. Although I am advocating that you prioritize your health, it is less significant when you do so. After attending the first few sessions, I traded my networking lunch for a workout. As it turns out, no one was in the gym at lunchtime. Access and diligence are The most significant hurdles in our fitness journey; when it is full, come back later, run, adjust the plan, and succeed. Life rarely follows our plan or design; be flexible and run with the opportunities. Start today, no matter your age or stage in life.
