Navigate Risk & Cultivate Life Returning millions of $ in collateral to employers. EDUCATE 📚ADVOCATE🎤 EMPOWER🦸🏻♀️-CONNECT🫱🏼🫲🏾 National: Risk Consultant-Entrepreneur-Account Exec👩🏻💻-Speaker-Business Coach
I have worked in the Claims/Risk space for over 15 years. Throughout my time as Adjuster, Operations Manager and Multi-National Risk Director, I have worked with dozens of companies that service claims programs. Some have been local and others with a national reach, but ultimately, I was extremely conscious of their reputation, results, reporting as well as communication. If a company is providing a cookie cutter or "box" service then they fall into the Vendor category. It's all about the $ale for them. What is most important is that you use a company (large or small) that is dedicated to engaging with you to: -roundtable cases -discuss your pain points precise industry concerns -understand your program trends and needs specific to your company They should provide: -the services outlined during the onboarding discussion -have a direct contact for referrals/questions/updates -give quarterly stewardship reports (and meetings if you desire) -be transparent about where your fees are going -report what types of results are being obtained As I have transitioned into a new career path, I still believe that these things are important for every program. I am dedicated to helping companies mitigate their risks as a Service Partner with Claims & Risk experience. Family owned and celebrating 60 years of business, Frasco has proven that it cares about its clients, employees and community. My Frasco, Inc. team and I are dedicated to not only providing value but supporting you in getting the most ROI out of the impactful results we obtain for your program. Pre-Employment Investigation programs working hand in hand with HR professionals Investigative services such as: AOE/COE, statements, surveillance, background checks in the Work Comp, Auto, Property, Employment Law and GL spaces Post Investigation work which helps Defense Attorneys and programs document medical provider review of results as well as statements for litigation defense Our team of experts are dedicated to partnering with our clients and providing guidance specific to their program needs. As a bonus, I would love to sit with you to roundtable specific cases that we may be able to assist with. Whether they are "old dog" cases that continue to double in cost each year or new red flag cases that need special attention, we are here to help 😊 #riskmanagement #risk #investigation #riskmitigation #hr #claims #customerservice #gl #auto #property #servicepartner #beautyandbeastinbusiness #frasco #surveillance

Our #employeespotlight for January is our Director of Claims, Sherri Walker! How did you get started at Sentinel and why did you choose to work here? “After 17 years on the carrier side of the industry, I was contacted by a recruiter who connected me with Nicole Wise. Though I wasn’t sure I wanted to leave the role I was in, Nicole had such a love for the company and the more I learned about Sentinel, the more excited I was to join a company that had such an incredible culture. After 2 years, I’ve never once questioned whether I made the right decision. Sentinel is definitely where I want to be for the rest of my career!” Share a day in the life as a Director of Claims? “On a daily basis, I get the pleasure of helping our clients work through new and existing losses. This means consulting on loss facts and reviewing their policies, as well as monitoring open claims with their carriers. I get to be the voice of reason, and when it’s needed, I get to be the fiery redhead in their corner! I couldn’t do it without our amazing Client Executives and Account Support teams. At the end of the day, I can not put a value on the satisfaction that I get from making sure our clients understand the process and seeing them be able to restore what was lost.” How would you describe the culture at Sentinel? “We are truly a family here at Sentinel! I love that we all work together towards common goals for our clients, and that there is a true sense of being invested that everyone brings to the table. I have made some of the most amazing friendships within our company and truly feel like I’m more than just a number.” What advice would you offer to others considering a career in risk management/claims? “If you have an interest in claims or risk management, I would encourage you to connect with someone within the industry, and spend some time with them in their daily setting. I don’t know of many kids who say “I want to be an adjuster when I grow up” (it certainly was never on my radar), but it is the the most rewarding, entertaining, and fulfilling career I could have ever hoped for!” Interested in joining the Sentinel Team? Insurance & TPA Industry Talent Partner | Swiftly Filling Roles in Claims Management & Administration, Risk Management, Cost Containment, Managed Care and RCM | Expert in Preventing Team Shortages
ADJUSTERS - Don't get Blindsided! Is your ADJUSTER License "ACTIVE" ??... It was perfect timing, when the candidate received my call. I was presenting a "Sr. Claims Adjuster" role, just days after this person had been informed of department layoffs. Their last day was less than 2 weeks away, but I was able to bring some good news in an otherwise stressful time. The position I presented offered an increase in compensation, and was fully remote. The hiring team was thorough in their interview process, and to be selected as the lead candidate, for the role, was a compliment to this ADJUSTER's experience. Unfortunately, when it was time to verify the candidate's claims adjuster license, as "ACTIVE" status, we realized there was a problem. Their soon-to-be prior employer had not processed their completed CE's, and fees, for their license renewal. ***It was now EXPIRED, and beyond 90 days*** We worked with the candidate, and our client, to ensure open lines of communication during each step of the license renewal process. This candidate showed incredible perseverance and tenacity in achieving renewal to ACTIVE status for their license, but in the end the urgency to fill the role took precedence and the opportunity went to the backup candidate. If applicable to you, you can stay on top of your license requirements at SIRCON. I hope this post is helpful to anyone who needs to check on their license status. #claims #adjuster #examiner

Sr. Sales Manager at The Hanover Insurance Group | Small Business Insurance | Agency eXperience | Sales Strategy
Interesting column on the P&C insurance industry's "underwriting shortage"... I highly recommend anyone interested in an underwriting post (or currently doing so) to focus on a specialization in the P&C world. There's tremendous career upside in management liability, cyber, inland marine, professional liability, etc.

With so much evolution in the P&C space these days, the metamorphosis of the role of claim adjustor from a paper-bound process to a digital-first approach is not just remarkable; it's revolutionizing how we view talent and skillsets in our sector. Gone are the days of claims folders and queues. Today’s claims adjustors are digital navigators, data analysts, and, most importantly, empathetic communicators. They are central to not only managing claim resolutions but also enhancing customer experiences and contributing significantly to risk management and business development. What does this mean for P&C recruiting? 🤔 We're not just looking for claims professionals; we're seeking multifaceted individuals who can analyze complex data, engage empathetically with clients, and navigate the digital landscape with ease. Emotional intelligence, technological savviness, and analytical prowess are the new gold standards. As leaders, our challenge is to identify and nurture this talent. The question is, are our recruiting strategies as evolved as the roles we're looking to fill? We say it's time for us to engage in a dialogue on how we can refine our approach to attract and retain the modern claims professional. The future of P&C insurance depends on it. #insuranceindustry
