It was a wake-up call. So, I slowed down and realized that planning my work schedule is crucial, but it is equally vital to set a rest schedule that suits my physical, emotional, and spiritual needs. I schedule “Nature Time” into my daily calendar. For me, that could be a slow walk first thing in the morning or laying in the grass gazing at the sky for an hour, mid-afternoon. My favorite “Nature Time” is when I’m able to sit at the beach and listen to the ocean. This appointment is as important to me as my client meetings because it makes me feel good, gives me perspective and keeps me grounded. (It also has several positive health impacts.)
